    Trails near Glenside, PA?

Hi. I have a buddy who is looking to get into mountain biking and lives in Glenside. I know he can ride Wiss but I was hoping to find something a little more beginner friendly for him near Glenside. Does anyone know of any good single track in the area?

    Thanks

Nockamixon (Nox) and Marsh Creek are both awesome trails that would fit the bill in dry conditions. However, neither is exactly right around the corner from Glenside and neither should be ridden in wet, muddy winter weather. Too much damage to the trail.

In fact, the state and trailbuilders at Nox officially close theirs each winter for that reason.

The beauty of living in Glenside is that we live in between the Wiss and Pennypack. Take your friend to pennypack and explore. The trails are largely unmarked but the paths through the park are evident.

Yea Pennypack is your best bet. Easier than Wiss... but still lots of terrain.

white clay is within an hour (just over the border in de/md) and should put a big smile on any beginners face!
