    Trail Suggestions along Lake Erie?

Taking the 90 home (Indy to Toronto) and wanted to stop for a ride along the way.

Any trails within 30 mins of the highway that would be a good 1-2 hrs ride?

Your best bet for excellent riding is in ellicottville, ny, which is an IMBA epic. Not too far off course. Be advised that it is archery/turkey season and McCarty st forest in e-ville is open to hunting 7 days a week. Closer to I-90, in PA, no clue.

    Trail Suggestions along Lake Erie?

401 through Windsor is faster but I have to stop in Buffalo.

Ellicotville is on the radar. How concerned about hunters should I be?

    Cheers,

Archery/turkey is no big deal, just wear a bright jersey. Shotgun starts sometime in mid November, I don't know the exact date.... Once it's started, don't ride there.

    Trail Suggestions along Lake Erie?

Van, you may want to check with wnymtba for latest E-ville conditions though, I know that western New York has had nothing but rain all spring, summer, and fall this year.

I am visiting the area near Erie and would not recommend Asbury park. Go to Ellicottville if conditions are good enough to ride.

Why don't you like Asbury park?

For someone not familiar with the trail system (me), it can be very tough to find good singletrack. I followed a map resource found online and spent most of my time avoiding posted property. I'm sure there is good singletrack available but I just couldn't find it. So, for someone just passing through who is unfamiliar, this could be tricky and feel like lost riding time. I did see the trek shop nearby so I could always stop in and ask them for trail info. I'll add my strava ride link and maybe you can tell me where I went wrong. Mtbproject had what seemed like the best map and it has to be old because the trail was overgrown and posted.
