Someone stole my commuter bike this morning. I'm pissed, like really pissed. Here are the details:

    time: 8am-9am
place: chislett st, morningside (next to highland park)
bike: 07 se lager. brown frame, black bullhorn bars, grey tires/silver rims. has a dorc sticker on the seat tube, and a small thick sticker on the top tube along with a one less car sticker on the right seatstay and an urban velo sticker on the left seatstay. Black selle italia saddle on a carbon post, ritchey double sided spd pedals and ultegra brake arches. had a clip on fender and a couple knog frog lights on it too.

    heres a catalog shot...

Hope you find the F'r and turn him over to Chris and have the thief welded into a cylinder and then shoved down a hill into a river. I HATE THIEVES.
Big, strong, rock crushing, IPA drinking, big hit bike rider!

Next time, before the pony charges out of the barn on its own, TAG IT at BikeRegistry.

Contrary to that artical, a friend who lived in NYC a couple of years ago told me that he came out of a building once, rounded a corner to find a cop roughing up a suspect by his [my friend's] bicycle. Turns out the cop caught the guy breaking/cutting the lock and arrested him on the spot.

Bad guy caught. Bike intact. The only loss was the bike lock and some time at the courthouse to testify against the jerk. Sometimes it works out.
