    Rocky Ridge

Has anyone been out there lately? Their twitter feed says the trails are open but I don't want to beat up the trails.

    Thanks -

I'm going to be in York this Wednesday for work, and if things stay somewhat dry was hoping to check out RR. I found the map on YAMBA, but can someone recommend a good route. I won't have time for anything too long, and hr and a half ride would be fine. Thanks.

    .....crickets........

Creating a loop seems pretty simple, but CW or CCW? Does it matter? What are the must-hit trails?

Using this map I go clockwise. I like broken arrow and rusty chair. Usually avoid the gut just cuz the climb out is pretty eroded. Have fun!

I have been riding ridge for 3 years. All the trails are a good time in both directions. But I always ride rusty chair (4) from the top of the power lines and stay to the right. I also really enjoy 5A (OMT) from the first parking lot on the right. It has a few small drops that a pretty fun with some speed.

Thanks guys. Looks like York missed the majority of the rain today, hoping the weather holds tomorrow.

Trail 8 ridden downhill/north is a great DH. On the map, it's the the trail 8 in blue that runs from trail 1 to trails 3/8.

Trail 4 is definitely better ridden east-west.

Trail 6 (the gut) is good both ways, but really good as a DH. It will be wet though.

It was misting rain for the whole ride, but trails were open and in good shape. Think I rode 1 to 8 to 3 to 9 to 2 to Rusty Chair to Broken Arrow to 1 to Rusty Chair (full) to (the other) 8 to 1 to Rusty Chair to Broken Arrow. Cool place.

Planning on riding here for the first time on Sunday with my new Bronson that I'll be picking up tomorrow! It's still early in the season so I don't know how big of a loop I'll be able to handle. Anyone going to be out there in the afternoon?
