Phila MTB Assoc. will host its 3rd Take a Kid Mountain Biking day this Saturday October 3. It starts at 10 AM at Pachella Field, which is at Livezy Street and Henry Avenue. This event is structured to give younger riders a chance to experience learning to ride over small and larger obstacles (trees, ramps, etc.) and through a short prepared course in the woods. Experienced riders will be on hand to help with instruction and guidance. Older riders and adults will have a chance to ride a guided course through the Wissahickon Park. This is a FREE event sponsored by PMBA and staffed by volunteers.

Some details are still in the works, but it's possible that a small number of loaner bikes may be available for participants who don't have their own mountain bikes. Check back later for more information.

Pictures from last year's event are at Last year more than 25 kids attended this extremely successful event. If your kid can comfortably ride a bike, he or she will find something to do at this event. Helmets are REQUIRED, and please bring a water bottle for your kid.
