It's kinda a tad bit late, and not a XC bike, but I just placed an order for a 2008 Orbea Opal TDE. I pick it up sometime next week

You took the picture backwards! Who takes a pic of the "brake" side? In Trumps voice, "Your fired!" J/K. Nice!

Will you be at Creek or Platty at all? If so look for the Carolina blue Sunday. We'll hook up and do some runs. ttyl, Fahn

    Here

Bad pic as the color got screwed up....plus it's a brake side view! (AHAHA!) Not intentional....really. And yes that is a gel seat cover. No I don't have a problem with that. Actually it's a place holder for the new seat that I will be getting eventually as the current one is death on wheels. (or balls)

This is the no budget wonder. I got deals on everything over the past 2 years.

it's a 2007 cannondale caffeine 3 frame w/ (god awful) Rock Shox j1 fork, generic shimano 8 speed shifters, Avid bb7 mechs, Race Face Evolve Xc crankset, Deore Xt front, and shadow Xt rear derailleurs, Sun Ditch Witch OEM rims off of a Diamondback Mission 1. (heavy, but I love 'em) FSA Pig pro DH headset from when I thought I was gonna build a free ride bike, and a Wtb Velociraptor fr/Kenda Klaw XT tire set.

Things to go: FORK! Complete 27 spd upgrade. Just need chain and cassette, tires, seat, handle bar and stem.

Just got it this past weekend. A 2006 closeout at about half sticker price. And one sweet ride to boot.

I am surprised this or a similar thread didn't pop up for 2009.

Because of the relentless cold weather I broke down and bought an indoor trainer. Not really fun, but a way to keep me moving. I also upgraded to a Chris King headset because my OE headset took a dump.

    New "Old" Ride For 2009

Here's a retro re-build disk conversion I did this winter; and I am looking forward to getting it out this spring. It's on the trainer right now; but I will be added to the stable once it warms up. The link is from where I originally posted on the Ironhorse boad. Enjoy!

Here's the girlfriends "new" Jamis I put together from the spare parts box. I am however plesantly surprised at how bad-ass it looks. I really wasn't trying.
Now I just have to poision her mind to clip-in pedals and we can go out and hit some trails.

    Some of my new toys...

Well they're not done yet, but slowly and surely they are coming together!

The first pic is of my new black ML8 right after I got it in.
The second is of my annodized ML8/DUC and assorted other Mavericks.
The third pic is of the Anno ML8 pretty much ready to ride.
The fourth and fifth pics are of my work-in-progress non-anno ML8 with my new I9's that just showed up today!

Built it around christmas and just took it down to Florida... Boy was it nice.
Its a New 2007 Jamis Dakar XLT built up from the frame, with a Fox F100 and Float R. Rides amazing and is a ton lighter than trying to ride my big bike around everywhere.
