PA Downhill riders check out the MAC series 3 races in our state

Attn: all PA dh riders. The MAC series has 3 of its races right in our own state. Reading Racing and Racersedge inc. are working together to bring you this kick ass series. We worked hard and got 4 venues at sick mountains.

1st race: Massanutten Virginia State championship May 12-13

2nd race Whitetail ski resort "capital cup" june 23-25 --3 day race weekend

3rd race Blue knob ski resort july 15-16

4th race Bear Creek ski --series finals sept 16-17

    for info check out racersedgeonline.com

We will make this one sick series with killer courses. No excuses to get out and do some dh racing and riding.

also there will be a y-format dual races at race#2.3.4.

    c-ya at the races

    very cool!

    Tony, coupla questions:

    1. Are the races NORBA? i.e.....will we have to shell out $60 to NORBA in addition to race fees? Sure hoping NOT.

    2. is there any races happening at the Reading hill this year?

    3. Why 3 days at whitetail? are you planning ahead for an extra day for them to fix the lift when it breaks down?

I'm very stoked to ride whitetail once again. maybe this will open the door for all of us to ride there once again....like you said, bring back the glory days!

1st-- the race series will be norba sanctioned-- hey if you want to cover the insurance call me so we can set that up. Thanks

2nd-- No spring race in Reading this year. We will be to busy hooking up the MAC series making it sick.

3rd-- 3days at whitetail yes. Practice Friday (all day) we will be making enough trails to keep people busy. 2 race courses one on SAT and different course for SUN. If you race both you are eligble for the capital cup. Riders can race each day on its own. That's alot of prizes to give out. Over all winner of the Capital cup and individual winners for each day. And a Y-dual race on friday. Can we back any more into this weekend. Price for this weekend is up in the air.

    It's going to be sick.

that post is now incorrect, blue knob will no longer be happening, wisp will takes its place as the MD state champ and whitetail is the PA state champ. still same dates.

    Ski Denton

We would be more than happy to host an event. Any possibilities?

Might be too short on that timeline. but a very cool offer. a lot of guys from my shop (The Bicycle Shop in state college) want to come up for a few days, but way too busy.

i'd try to hunt down the series' organizers and get in on next year's events. i'd also highly recommend attending this year's events to see what they have in mind. i'd recommend bear creek if you can only make one. i can personally understand the ousting of blue knob, their race events have always given me a feeling of being substandard despite good people there making great trails otherwise.
