    Need info on French Creek

I was thinking of spending a weekend at french creek with a couple of my riding buddies. My questions are: Is there enough riding to last two days? Is there a lot of tight flowing singletrack ( like fairhill)? My favorite type of riding would be Patapsco Park avalon and hilton area - a good mix of everything. Is french Creek similar? Do I need a local guide to avoid taking the wrong trails? Any volunteers?

    Some info

French Creek has some great singletrack but I wouldn't compare it to the flowing fields/forest trails at Fairhill. It's got lots of rocks, some extended climbs, and most of the riding is in forested areas (as opposed to fields).

There are many trails but lots of them are closed to mountain bikes. There is a trail map here which will keep you on the open trails:

If you do a search on this forum for "French Creek", you'll find more detailed posts from people who ride there a lot including some recommended loops.

Thanks for your help. The pics at chrisgroff.com really helped. It looks like a good place to ride.
