There is no charge for awesomeness......or attractiveness.

Good rep does not wash out the bad, nor the bad the good.

And this, in a capsule, is why FB is theoretically a gagillion bucks.

    - establish pre-existing target group
    - target ads to same
    - more effective advertisement

    In theory.

Of course, about every three months I close "this" close to deleting my account on FB.

    *shrug*

    *whatever*

    Good job!

    Well...

I never wanted to join Facebook either, and like I said before it's way too much work to post in both places and especially if no one comments in one of them.

I'm trying not to move everything over there but most of the stuff will be there now! Just has to happen cause my riding/racing/trail building/event arranging is more important that sitting at a computer posting stuff few comment on!

The irony of it all from my point of view is that I only joined FB because the 2009 MTBR Arizona Spring Fling was being coordinated via FB.

The person responsible for that has since let me know he no longer participates with FB.

    Meh

It's easier for me to respond on FB. This site sucks unless I'm on my pc. I'm rarely on the pc.
ahh...the sound of my hub when I coast.

If your not friends of mine on Facebook you can't see the pics. Go to Facebook search for "I ride the Moon and Heres a pic to prove it" page, and ask to join, I will approve and your in!

    Wink

    A little history lesson...

...back in 2006 and even before, but 2006 for Moon Lakes concern I started posting on MTBR heavily and other places(website, other sites) time has come to scale back and let others step up and take pics and post them!

It involves lots of time and I feel I have done my part for 6 years, now with HCGA added to the mix it has become more intense, not a bad thing I enjoy what I do. I actually have so many pics that 10 harddrives worth of pics are consumed.

FaceBook has opened up a whole new venue with a much larger audience. It has Moto guys/girls, fishermen, car racers and lots of my non biking friends who can see all that goes on!

    Personal philosopohy:

For getting information in a more archival form (things that people can find with Google) in a more central location -- I'd recommend posting it here on MTBR.

But, for conversation, Facebook makes a lot of sense.

Basically, for throw away banter: Facebook is perfect. For stuff that has value (to lots of folks and over a longer time frame than 37 minutes), I'd strongly consider putting it somewhere more open than Facebook: in a blog, on MTBR, on another conversation forum.

    Best,
    Mark

Search for "I ride the Moon and Heres a pic to prove it" doesn't work. Fail.

That's because it's actually this: "I Ride da mOOn and Here's a Pic to Prove it!"

Sounds like the search engine is picky or plain sucks. A few caps and "da" shouldn't throw it off that bad.
