    MTB Trails Near Kalahari

Heading to Kalahari Waterpark with the fam this weekend.

Was hoping to either hit Glen Park or another trail in the area. Any recommendations on other trails worth hitting that may be closer to the park. Will be limited on time, so ride time will likely be limited to 1:30 in the saddle.

    Thanks in advance!

Wolf Pond/SGL 38 is on top of Camelback/Big Pocono SP. Thatís the closest to Kalahari. Some good trails but Iíve yet to discover a good map. The Loft, a bike/ski shop, has a map on its site but itís not very good, especially for the singletrack. Trailforks and MTB Project donít have it. Moosic Mtn, Lackawanna SP, and Prompton SP have riding but theyíre farther away. Big Pocono SP has some trails but itís not worth it.

A lot of work has gone into Glen Park over the last few years. Stroudsburg also has Popcorn Buddha and some good places to eat.

Wasnít able to hit Glen Park when in the area last year, heavy rain for 3 days. Take two, heading there this May. If I was just hitting Glen Park I would bring my 150/160 rig, but will be heading to DC after. The most convenient trails to my location in DC are best suited for a hard tail. How is Glen Park on a hardtaul?

    Cool-blue Rhythm

GP can be fun on a HT, if you like to descend on a HT...lol

GP is enduro style trails, and there is a trail marked with white dots that we use as a transport trail to get back up to the enduro runs. from White Dot you will come to a gate and old pave road, head up towards the powerline transfer station, more at the top of the mountain. From there you can hit more higher up enduro sections. HT would be fun and you can use White Dot to get ya back to the top, after ever run down.

    Ck these guys...

Google GP you will find maps, and The Single-Track Life on FB Tonio will help ya!
