    Cool-blue Rhythm Kingston NY

Had a chance to visit a great town...
    Kingston, NY this past weekend.

With a nice ride up Rt 209 many places to ride can be found, Port Jervis Watershed, Lippman park, and at the top was the well hidden Blue Stone Wild Forest, in the Catskill preserve.

At Blue Stone we started out at the parking area with a nice climbing hard stone forest road. A blanket of 3 inches of well frozen snow existed and we had a real challenge on the steeper stuff. The trails are mix of singletrack and forest roads. Making a loop is easy lots of shortcuts do exist. One section had off camber old school singletrack with plenty of stone walls to give the eyes something to view.

All in all with more time I will post some pics we took and share more, but a trip there is worth your gas money.

Erie Hotel in Port Jervis is a great stop for food after a hard ride at any of the above mentioned places!

Thanks for review. I have a buddy in that area and have been looking into some great spots to ride there.

    Cool-blue Rhythm

Add comments, the blue stone road names this place perfect. It is an amazing thing to see and ride on as you feel as if you are riding someone counter top for hundreds of feet. There are many hidden sites as you can see by the pics. The mini waterfall isn't on a regular trail, but a dead end off to the right of the blue stone road. worth finding for a break.

We didn't see everything, but the old school feel is perfect as this place isn't for everyone. From what we rode there was very little man made trail sections, and no bridges. Crossing water is just that. Some had a few flat rocks to cross on, lucky the streams are small and not deep.
