    Hunting in Montgomery County parks

Does anyone know if hunting is allowed or prohibited in Montgomery County parks? Specifically Green Lane but I assume the same rule would apply to them all.

I ride Green Lane a lot, always under the assumption hunting wasn't allowed, at least on the red trail since its by the school. General policy for the montco parks is to prohibit hunting, I assume this is what applies at Green Lane.

Cool thanks, just wanted to see if it was safe to ride around at the county parks without getting shot at.

You should be good - never hurts to wear orange this time of year though

Eh, it's not orange but I usually wear my florescent green road jacket. I ended up riding on the road on Saturday and hit up the Wiss on Sunday. I might hit up Green Lane once the ground freezes to avoid all the mud.

I was at Green Lane Sunday morning and it was in the best shape I've seen it in some time, largely thanks to the ice I've been thinking next weekend might be the time I finally head over to Wissahickon, how were the trails on Sunday?

Other than the leaves and the occasionally loose rock (par for the course), it was fine. Just a little mud anywhere the water runs down the side towards the creek. Forbidden Drive was actually more wet (unfortunately as I took it back to the car) and annoying than anything in the upper trails.

Cool, maybe this will be the weekend I finally get out to Wissahickon. I ride Green Lane most weekends, especially during the winter when I'm forced to resist the call of White Clay. If you fly past someone on a black SS, it was probably me
