    Rocks, rocks, and more rocks...
    ...hiding in the dark!

The unofficial first ever night rides via electric in the area, if not just riding an E period.

Gotta say it make for a thrilling time dodging hidden rocks that jump out into the light. I hope all you guys had as much fun as I did. There is no doubt you had better bring the big boy pants when riding the HunRocks during the day, but at night leaves a feeling of "HOLY CRAP" where did that come from!

Excellent loop: Itchy Tire pump track, SOB, Fat Dog, High Noon, Itchy Tire, Dirt Rag 1/2, High Noon, Itchy Tire, T P Crapper, mtbr, TP Crapper, with a finish on Itchy Tire pump track! So much fun!

Thanks guys had a fun electric time...
...yes I kept it on 20 percent boost!

    The fun continues...

Gotta say the rocks looking great with lights on them!

I gotta say the HGA is the greatest...
...while riding I noticed a unique thing!

The moto trail and the mt bike trail are within close distance and even cross at places but there are never any moto tracks on the mt bike trails! That is respect to the finest.

Anyways the e-bike makes short work of hills even at 20 percent boost. I have added the Green Loop to my list of riding pleasures. The Green Loop is a less techy, more open dirt, and rock road that is used for quads. It never gets the usual dual track due to the nature of the terrain being all rocks. Green Loop is roughly 4 miles and runs throughout the mt bike and moto trails. Running 50 percent boost on the Green Loop gets speeds up and more fun. It also allows a rest from the terror of the rocks on all the other trails. The Green Loop makes for many more opportunities and routes.

    Thanks HGA

In the book and on the clock this Wednesday 6 PM...
    ...11/2/16

E biking will take a good break to recharge this week...
...SingleSpeed will make an appearance as:

The old Itchy Tire trail has been redesigned to be more SSer friendly...
...and Im feeling more friendly towards the SSer!

Starting the SSer loop running out the Skinny Park, T P Crapper, Itchy Tire, High Noon, Fat Dog, SOB looks like a good loop of a few miles. Laps will be encouraged.

    HGA Ride the Rocks!

The SSer ride was replaced by Mr Bs "DEATH MARCH"

I would like to thank Mr B. for finding the most difficult way to "Ride the Rocks" and I don't mean we stopped to ride the trails sections either!!!!!!!!

It was a true non stop flog through and over big mean rocks that never gave up or moved outta our way at any time! At night with lights and shadows make me wanna cry, but I never have time as the rock and roll fest never stops at Fun Rocks!

The loop? You wouldn't believe it Ride to the top on the Big Back hill then turn around and ride it down with no rest! How that man figured out a way to crush us is just hurtful!

Sorry to say the 11/16/16 ride is off this week, the big guys have "Super Moon" fever and are out on another adventure.

So once again no Ride the Rocks this Wednesday, but stay tuned for next weeks adventure.

Looks like I have to stay home and cry...
    ...or will I?

Might be the coldest, darkest ride yet this coming Wednesday!

Once again the HGA rocks have beckoned the call...
    ...come try to ride us!

5 PM, 1.5 to 2.0 hours of pure tech mashing smashing fun. Bring lights!

    Will Ed Zepplin be conquered?

Is clockwise the best way to ride it?

Will the real Ed Zepplin actually show up for the dedication of his named trail?

These and many other questions will be answered on the Rocks at Hunlocks!

Oh yes it was cold with a coating of crunchy snow...
...but two brave souls clamored over the rocks.

Pretty much the lower loop, TP Crapper, Dirt Rag, with a stop on the new Ed Zep trail(more on this later) High Noon, Terminus, Fat Dog Itchy Tire reverse on TP Crapper.

Rocks were snow covered and not friendly in anyway. Looking of ride lesser rattling rocks was the key as we roamed up to Ed Zep. We rode Ed Zep clockwise for the first time. Must say E B did a nice job wacking the small stuff and to my surprise the lines I thought would be the main line ended up being a bit different. Just goes to show building, is not riding. So it is officially on dirt. The Reporter now has a fun time ahead of him as we all know he is the bench master!

All in all the Killa Hog rode very well and tire pressures were near the single digits, might have even been there. Having returned to the Rock Shox Revolution fork now very well dialed in made for a better feel on the front end. Dropping pressure a bit to lower the front end for more traction was the key. Speeds were slow at best on this night, so the suspension working slower through more rebound damping helped. It's not the Rock Shox Pike and never will be! Traction was very fleeting and any wood was non compliant as far as that is said.

The night ended up where "Terminus" was the most difficult trail even with it's downhill path. With less flat rock it still has plenty of dampness on it being on the back side of the gas line hill.

Thanks to the Reporter for riding and teaching me some camera stuff as we spent a little time taking cool shots in the dark.

HGA! A super big Helmets off to you guys!

EB nice work, and I hear there is a "Cheater Jug" trail in the Q See ya at the X Mas party!

Next hump day on the rocks approaches...
...will there be hard ground, and snow covering?

    Snow on the Rocks!

Rain coming today, so Wednesday will probably be fairly clear, or just some mush left over. No need to drag the groomer. Cheater Jug is all ready. Sadly the snow isn't enough to XC ski either.

See ya at 5 to 6 PM on the rocks Wednesday 12/14/16

Doing the crossover, front loop, no need to go up the Big Back Hill More of T P Crapper, lower Dirt Rag, High Noon, Terminus and so on. We will see how it goes, and we can always jump on the Green loop in places just to make it interesting like when we did the mtb race!

    Of course lights required.

Planning on transporting my quad out to HGA soon, and we ca we could do shuttle XC ski runs if we get enough snow soon.

Out on the 2 wheeled Tesla Tiger last night in the snow...

Results were much better, tire pressure down to 7 psi rear, and 6psi front. Helps a lot and speeds are slow now due to the ice and snow, thinking studs for the Levo soon. Have to wait to see how the Moto winter series pans out as all monies go towards that right now. Baby needs new metal studded sneakers.

I do have exciting news though as I ventured onto our harescramble loop with the Levo. Being a moto ridden loop that line is "v" shaped from motos, and has steep parts not rideable with a HPB due to the inclines. The Levo did fine! Hum? This opens up new terrain! Hell yes! Is there anything the Levo can't climb? I did run in 50 percent boost for this attempt, and do know the trail like the back of my hand, I think it can be dropped to 30 percent, will try next time out!

    Great ride last night!

Warm night, t-shirt weather, Started the fun loop in the light and ended up in the dark, Fat Dog, High Noon, Itchy Tire, mtbr, Dirt Rag and two laps on Ed Zepplin Dirt Rag(Pump House) to itchy Tire and down Fat Dog! It was fun to be crushing rocks once again, trails are in good shape, I mean hey when ya ride on rock you never have bad trails! Only the usual spring stick o rama on them from the high winds yesterday. We did remove as we rode!

Talk of the return of the Pasta Rides and new lines this spring and more benching on Ed Zep...

Thanks to Mr B and "O"
