    Escaped convict trail Jim Thorpe

Has anyone rode the escaped convict trail. I saw it on trail forks today but couldn't find much info on the trail. I was thinking of trying to find it on Black Friday. I live about an hour and half away so I didn't want to make the drive if it was hard to follow or hard to find the trailhead.

I thought I've ridden just about every trail around the JT area. I never even heard of it, and couldn't find it on trailforks. Does it say where it is?

Hmm. It looks like the rail trail to Uranium Road(?), to Broad Mtn loop, a good chunk of American Standard, and back into town.

It came up on trailforks as a featured route near me. I saw it was a black diamond trail. I thought it would be a good wilderness ride. I am not sure if I want to drive 75 miles one way to ride rail trails

The rail trail is only to and from the advanced trails. American Standard isn't an easy trail per-se. Though I never rode Uranium Road, my understanding is that it's not easy.

If you're riding UP Uranium Road. Then it's definitely "not easy".

How about down? Back in the late 90's/early 2000's I always hear it was hard, but never rode it cause I didn't want to pedal back up (Rt 93?) to the SGL parking lot. Lol!

Reminds me a bit of Deer 2, Uranium rd is private.
