Just wondering if anyone can tell me the major differences between a Cannondale super v900 and 700

I would think it's the components on the bike.

I have the 1998 Super V 900 my wife had (just recently sold it) the 1999 Super V 400 both bought new (sorry I canít compare the 700 Super V model) as near as I could tell (and the OP said) the difference was the components. The front shock travel lengths are different, mine is 80mm and will lock out, hers was 100 mm and would not lock out, the rear shocks were different too but both adjustable by the spring tension, mine has a couple other adjustments.

Component differences would include cranks, wheels, drive train. Mine was around 32 lbs hers about 34 lbs. Mine was $1795 new (std price) hers $1095. Both were bought in 1999, mine was a leftover (paid $1495). They were both nice bikes and we had a lot of good times on them with many miles ridden. Having said that I have not rode it since 2010 when I bought my Santa Cruise Tallboy 29er. I should sell the Super V 900 but itís still a good bike in good condition and canít bring myself to sell it.
