    Best Rides around States College?

Any suggestions please on good rides around States College? Any good classic or epic rides? I love sweet following single track, but rock gardens are just as good. Thanks!

Tons of great stuff here. I recommend you post on one of the local clubs' forum: Nittany Mountain Biking Association. You can get good info from them. Maybe even hook up on a ride. They do group rides Wednesday evenings.

    Good Luck

There are a million good rides near State College in Rothrock State Forest, Black Moshannon State Forest, the local gamelands and if you want to drive just a bit Bald Eagle State forest. I am so spoiled here. I laught when I hear folks bragging about the new 8 or 19 mile loop they got in our local forest. There are simply so many trails even after riding say on average 100 mile a week for five years I still have not seen them all.

There are organized rides each Tuesday at 5:30 and Wednesday at 6:00. There is a less organized ride on Sunday at 11 I think, but it is more geared towards fire road riding. The local shops, with websites, in town are:
    Mt Nittany Wheelworks: http://www.mtnittanywheelworks.com/
    The Bicycle Shop: http://www.thebicycleshopinc.com/
    Eddie's Bicycles: http://www.eddiesbikes.com/
    B & E http://www.eddiesbikes.com/

When are you coming to town? Right now is not the best time, most folks seem to be off vacationing or are getting ready for the Wilderness 101 next week. After August 6th I will be up for riding with anyone.
