    Camping around Hood River

What's the best combination of cheap and nice for camping near Hood River? Looking to spend a weekend in the area at the end of the month, riding primarily Post Canyon. Primitive would be fine, but spending a few dollars a night would be OK, too.

Yeah, I second Kingsley. I also believe you can also camp anywhere in the Post Canyon area -- I've seen lots of folks camping at Family Man -- but would only do that if I could not get into Kingsley.

Also, don't put all of your trust in your GPS when driving to Kingsley. I've seen lots of folks back up there on dirt roads taking the most jacked up routes to Kingsley because they were relying solely on the GPS.

Laurance Lake. It's a bit out of the way but descent place to camp and swim after a ride.

Thanks! Looks like we'll have a few options to check out. Last time we just slept on the side of a dirt road up Post Canyon somewhere, but we were only riding one day. Thought it would be nice this time to have more of an actual campsite.
