Smile Bike shops in Sun River and McKenzie River Trail question

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm planning a biking trip to Central Oregon this year, and am wondering if there are any bike shops in the Sun River area. If anyone has a name and phone #, that would be most helpful. I'm also curious about shops in the Bend area.

    Thank you for any help!

It's Sunriver's only mid to high-end shop. Most of the other shops (especially 4-Seasons and Sunriver Sports) cater to the tourist crowd with comfort mountain bikes and $12 Cheng-Shin tires. Village has a large demo fleet of up to $2500 bikes, both road and mountain, and a knowledgeble staff. In Bend, Sunnyside is usually very helpful, although they are much more geared toward road bikes these days (mountain bike sales have really died off locally). I have gotten good service work done there (they have the only Italian-thread BB tap in town). Good luck!

I usually try to make it to bend a handfull of times a year and I've always really enjoyed the fine folks at Sunnyside Sports. They're casual yet knowledgable and the store has an impressive selection of everything road and mountain biking and they'll direct you to some of sweetest riding in the area.

after living in Bend for 2 years i gotta say that the guys at WebCyclery are the coolest in town and offer great service. it's a small shop but they are cooler than most of the other bike shops in town for sure.

Dang... what was I thinking? Thanks for adding that Tappoix. Webcyclery is actually my LBS of choice around these parts. How could I have not have added them! Sorry folks.
