    All Comer's Meet 1/19/20

    Hey Everybody,
It's about time for some winter fun, don't you think? Although us PNW mountain bikers have enjoyed pretty above average riding conditions this season, even our short winter days are enough to make an avid bike rider shout, "Gimme some par-TAY!"

Announcing the 16th Annual Disciples Of Dirt's All Comer's Meet

    Deets:
    • What: A chance for the regional tribe to gather, ride and have fun together. ACM is NOT a race
    • When: Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, 9:30am (MLK Jr wknd)
    • Where: Whypass, the DOD's network of stash trails. Follow link below to the Disciples Of Dirt's website for directions to Whypass and more information. It's about half an hour SW of Eugene
    • Whypass? Yeah. Here's a recent GPS track from a ride at Whypass: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4349134585 This track doesn't include all the trails out there, just gives you an idea of terrain, etc. This XCish network is popular among singlespeeders plus there's a section of trails that'll get even the rowdier rider jazzed -- something for everyone
    • Who: If you ride a mountain bike, you're welcome! Young, old, male, female & everyone in between are welcome
    • Mud: Yes! This legendary event happens rain or shine. Some of the funnest (yeah, it's a word) ACM events have occurred when it's absolutely pouring. Trust me
    • Why: FUN! Riding & camaraderie
    • Website: More info right up in here

C'mon! You're gonna love it. See you there.
    =sParty

Note: Whypass is a sanctioned BLM riding area, therefore ebikes are legal. Like I said before, everyone is welcome!

Looks like a blast. Have fun! Hopefully, I'll be flying through powder on Mt. Hood!
    Whining is not a strategy.

It's in the linked event page that Sparty posted, but he didn't mention it, so I will... the raffle is pretty freakin' good and a fun way to donate to the cause, even if you don't win anything.

Looks fun! I put it in my calendar in case I can make it up.... Looks like about a 2.5-3hr drive from Ashland area.

Never been to one of these, and have always wanted to. Sundays are tough, though.

It's called Carpenter Bypass on the BLM signs and on Trailforks. I don't know if the Trailforks map is complete. The region also has a link to an official BLM PDF map.

None of the maps really help much in the field, because it's a freakin' maze out there. The first time I went to ACM even my guide got lost and we wound up doing some extra riding out by Fun Girl.

Anyway, if you've never been, All-Comer's Meet or the (less well-attended) Party at the Pass are the best times to go, because you'll get a guided ride with people of similar interests or fitness or skills. Plus, you know, the pizza, and the raffle, and the crosscut saw contest, and the bonfire, and the beer...

Extra riding around Fun Girl (or Your Sister for that matter) can bring unexpected pleasure.

Dog gamn, I wish there was a way for me to make this party. Seriously, I really miss the riding up there in Yujin.
