Nope, Sydney 19/11/2019. Blanketed by smoke from fires north west of the city.

That's happened to Portland the last bunch of years. This year was a super mild/great summer though.

The local cycling club puts on an annual ride called the "WoW" ride. (Women on Wheels.) My sig.oth. and I did it together on the tandem some years back, when she was still able to ride. (health issues, long story) On one rolling section I forced a shift when climbing hard and snapped the chain. It dropped to the ground and slithered to the shoulder. Anne didn't really know what had happened and when I told her and showed her the chain, she thought we were done for the day. But I fixed it with my chain tool and had it ready to roll again in pretty short order.. "Wow," she said when I had it ready to go. I miss riding with her.

I'm pretty sure he wants more conversations about steel singlespeeds. One of his favorite topics. That and modern geometry.

Doesn't have to be SS, just steel. Let's start there. Modern geo being a plus, though.

If I ever see water buffalo meat offered in one of the fancier markets around here, I won't automatically laugh out loud. Sounds like a good deal.
