    Why adventure?

Why do you seek adventure? Whether it be mountain biking, hiking, climbing, paddling? This is a cool video

Adventure is means of challenging the mind and body. It's a way to escape the norm. Everyone needs it.

Adventure is the pursuit of losing yourself in the moment.
I don't know why,... it's just MUSS easier to pedal than the other ones.

best thing about an adventure is it doesn't have to be great to get started but you have to get started for it to be great

Adventure is a relative concept. There are no absolutes.

    Nice video, btw.....

Outside Magazine posted it and claimed it was award winning. It didn't say which award, but I too was impressed.

I think I've always wanted to get away and out of the house. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a rural area and it wasn't unusual for my buddies and I (or me alone) to head out into the woods all day long without supervision. Either to just hike around or go fishing out in the forest. I've said this before but some of the healthy things my parents let me do when I was a kid would be considered neglect or abuse today.

I don't really consider myself much of an adventurer these days but I always try to get out, away from the bustle of every day life as much as I can. It's a compulsion for me, to be honest.

    Cool-blue Rhythm

Heyyall thanks for sharing that amazing video. I have always been an adventurer in so many ways. Just to get out away from society and be among nature no matter what the activity. It's always been part of my being. Although it seems as the years pass I get less and less adventurous times but the upside is when they do come up I appreciate them so much more.

    Great thread!

    Re: Why adventure?

I like to adventure primarily to get away from the stress of everyday life, and for the challenge of it. It seems on every backpacking trip, epic MTB ride, or fishing trip something unexpected happens and it's satisfying to use your brain and improvise to solve problems.

    Why adventure?

In Soviet Russia adventure seeks you.

Only half a stupid joke. I have lived through some interesting times. I do not regard my sporting pursuits as something adventurous, though most of my friends regard them as such.
