My bike got bit by a horse once. It bit the handlebar and lifted the bike straight up into my nuts.

What a nasty out of shape horse. When I was in high school we had a horse, Blackie never did that but I seen that happen before.

Yeah, when they pin their ears back they are usually contemplating mayhem.

Was looking after a pregnant pony once. One morning went to check on her with carrot in hand as I did every day, to find she had given birth during the night. Went to give her the carrot and she picked me up off the ground by the nipple. Talk about a purple nurple.

I was gonna stop by and see you, but the Jehovas witnesses came by. When they left I started drinking. Voicemail from Paul

That horse must have read the General Discussion forum and all the threads about MTB'ers hating horses on the trail.

It was like watching a horror movie. I wanted to shout "Don't do it!!!"

Maybe I'm just a wuss; but, I'd never reach my hand out to a wild animal on top of a mountain. I don't care what type of animal it was...

I haven't been bitten but out foxed by a smartass Arabian. Damn thing would intentionally try and knock you on your can by heading for trees with branches high enough for it to pass under but not for the rider. The other thing it would do is lockup all four legs when stopping at higher speeds... I ended up hanging off its neck a few times.

Oh. My pony used to do crap like that to me. Taught me how to ride hanging off her side doing that. I actually won the limbo contest at a horse show fun day because of it. She also used to think it was hilariously funny to stomp on my instep with all her weight and then sliiiiiiiiide ever so slowly off of it, making eye contact the whole time. What a riot. That'll keep you alert.

I wonder if that guy walks up to strange dogs with his hand out, showing his teeth like that? Not really good body language for any animal, really.
I'm enjoying my childhood way too much to ever give it up.

    For wearing those purple shorts...
He was lucky to just be bitten, and not trampled to death.

I don't even know horses and I know better than to do something stupid like that.

any animal running loose like that is probably not going to be all that familiar with people and won't necessarily appreciate being approached that way. That guy was coming at it a good bit too quick, and was probably perceived by the horse as being aggressive. You need to be careful and see if the animal is expressing curiosity first, and let it approach you.

I don't know who he is, but I agree with the horse ... the guy couldn't have been up to any good wearing that purple shorts-blue shirt combo. He definitely had it coming.

Dumbazz. Anyone who has ever been around horses at all saw that coming a mile away...

Horse tried to warn him... he missed it.

That's what you get for wearing those shorts. lol I am sure that hurt like a mofo.
