When Life Gets You Down Think About....

    GOOGLE map.

Put your address on a Google map. Zoom on in at street level. There's your house
or apartment. And you with your problem(s) inside.

Get your pointer and gently pull the scale back out. There's your neighborhood. Zoom out more. There's your city or town. Zoom out more. Hey there's your state or province.
Zoom out more, there's your country.

I've learned to visually think Google Maps when I have a problem and when I do,
its very miniscule to the world. And I also think there are others with the same problems or even worse and I feel better. It helps me cope not to get high blood pressure thinking
    about everyday BS.

I think of ways to blame society and not take responsibility for my own actions.

Google Maps is fun for looking at mountain roads, but when I focus on my house, I see some of my neighbors have swimming pools and I don't.

Go get lost on some trails, hang out with friends, sex, heck, even beatin theMeat works. Some days, like today, just don't go as you'd like but that makes the good days seem even better. Take a trip to the hospital if you think you got it bad.

How lucky I am that I have my family, my health, great friends, and a few toys to go out and play on. I KNOW it could be worse, and the little things that bother me don't mean *uc% all in the big picture. I am blessed more than some, less than others...that's life.

I concur, it usually comes out in a bourbon fuel tirade that leaves me feeling dirty and awkward in the morning. Kinda like blacking out, except for you remember what an ass you were.

i get horribly anxious and stressed. often way more than i need to, but i think i have a system where i need to assume the worst case scenerio, so that i'm mentally prepared. its messed up.

however, i have a handful of people that seem to have my back no matter what. i guess, i'm "loved". Even the way my dog looks at me, she always has my back too! Thats typically what i think about. i feel fairly safe with these close people.

Like me. I'm mostly off the grid and my mail is delivered to a PO box. The only utility I have shows the address in another city, in another county. You can't see my house from the road or the air. Only miles of desert around and a splotch of trees. I can see my backyard DH course if I look hard enough.

Go ride your bike! Go ride your bike in the woods! Works for me every time. Getting back to nature removes the mundane nuisances of everyday life.

Well yer problems ain't gonna go away, Google mapin' just feeling good that you are not the only
one out there with debt. Hell I have a co-worker who is the same old age as I am 51,
so in debt he still lives in a 2 bedroom apt. with his wife and kids because he could never save enough money for a down on a small house. My younger sister is so in
debt she asked me if I can buy her a desktop keyboard ($19 bucks, really?)

    Keep smilin'

If it ain't broke, don't fix it and all that. Or is it if it ain't broke fix it? Whatever, if it ain't fixed **** it.

    Wink

    If I can elevate someone...

...not knowing if they are down or not it gives me instant karma feeling, there are a lot of good people here and elsewhere. I know I could hang here and there would be help and support. Going out everyday and making someone else's life better or just happier is the ultimate rest for my mind.

We all know that ill feeling of negative energy, not letting it overpower you is your path by pushing it away. No matter how bad just keep the positive energy coming forward.

These are tough times and life is pegging us all out as we try to cope with it. I have found that when the walls are closing in on me, it's important that I go do something to take a break from my problems and not think about them for a while. Riding a bike is certainly on the shortlist, but however you define fun, get up and go do it. Believe me, your problems will be there when you get back. It's not like someone's going to come and take them away from you while you are on a ride, or whatever. And, I think taking a break is a healthy way to recharge your emotional battery to cope with life again. Otherwise, we all sit around like a bunch of sad bastards.
    Will trade for some chicken.
