Actually Star Trek borrowed from the Air Force.....

"The U.S. Space Force seal honors the Department of the Air Force's proud history and long-standing record of providing the best space capabilities in the world," Space Force officials added. "The delta symbol, the central design element in the seal, was first used as early as 1942 by the U.S. Army Air Forces; and was used in early Air Force space organization emblems dating back to 1961. Since then, the delta symbol has been a prominent feature in military space community emblems."

You could have left it aside but instead indulged your urge to use a term usually spouted by trump supporters aimed at liberals. Takes a lot of selective realities to remain a supporter.

Not at all. One can take a reasoned look at performance as a whole and determine 1.) if they are better off today than 4 years ago and 2.) if someone else is likely to deliver better results.

It will be interesting to see where we are in 5 years.

    Note well the posts.

    1st Word, 1st post, “Trump’s”.
2nd post, oblique reference to Trump.
3rd post, direct refutation of 1st post, and then an oblique reference to the motive for the erroneous out of context political thread and its first two posts.
Subsequent posts taking issue with the TDS assertion, center on criticizing the individuals who posted in response, rather than the refutation of what they posted.

Clearly, there is a pattern here.

    A Syndrome.

Here are the facts on trees.....

Net forest area in the U.S. has been stable since the early 1900’s and has increased from 754 to 766 million acres between 2005 and 2015. Net volume of growing stock increased by over 10% between 2005 and 2015.4 Canada’s forest area of 857 million acres has been quite stable over the past 25 years.5

    • Each year forests in the U.S. and Canada grow significantly more wood than is harvested. In the U.S., average net annual increase in growing-stock trees nationwide is about 26 billion ft³.6 In 2015, Canada harvested just over 5.6 billion ft3 of timber, well below the estimated sustainable wood supply level of 7.98 billion ft³.7

    • Claims like “go paperless – save trees” create a false impression that forests are a finite resource, being destroyed. In truth, North American forests are a renewable resource that is continuously replenished using sustainable forest management.8

    • More than half the forest land in the U.S. is owned and managed by about 11 million private forest owners. Private forest lands provided over 90% of the domestically produced wood and paper products in 2017.

    • The income landowners receive for trees grown on their land encourages them to maintain, sustainably manage and renew this valuable resource.9

    • On privately owned timberlands, overall inventories increased 6.2% between 2008 and 2014 and forest growth exceeded harvest removals.10

    • Avoiding the use of wood is not the way to protect forests for the long term. It is precisely the areas of the world that consume the least wood that continue to experience the greatest forest loss.8

It is amusingly ironic that in the continuing effort to disparage T, one would choose to reference one of the most widespread and consistently sustainable and environmentally beneficial Capitalist endeavors in human history.

“They” knew it wouldn’t, was a crapshot at best. They also knew it would have a short term boost to economy, but damaging long term, unless you’re filthy rich. Amazing how ppl who think they are, claim to be smart don’t see that he inherited a rebounding economy and added a short term tax cut to hopefully hold until next election. Guess if you look through a peep hole at the one thing “they” can claim success on... As long as that peephole wasn’t at Weinstein’s, or you kept your underwear on

Ah, because it's true that the left tries to shut down the right with insults and belittling vs. being able to discuss the issues.

This is the second thread initiated to disparage the current POTUS on the same subject. Any response to the contrary elicits a personal pile on.
No big deal, I like people speaking their mind, but to suggest none of it is left / right oriented is laughable.

Actually GDP rate is the same as before and the number of jobs being added is still less than under Obama. But the USA economy is strong. Shows that it takes tons of work to really screw it up, which honestly makes George Bush look really bad.

This is the second thread initiated to disparage the current POTUS on the same subject. Any response to the contrary elicits a personal pile on.
No big deal, I like people speaking their mind, but to suggest none of it is left / right oriented is laughable.
Lol, not everything is left /right. Didn’t like Trump when he was a dem either, lol. And you made it left right with your first post. Just go look

I find it extremely unlikely that Trump had anything to do with the design of this logo. Which would make all of this political crap completely irrelevant.

Just for fun I'll add my input on the political part. I hate all politicians and slimy businessmen/women equally. They're all to isolated within their own little worlds to have any grasp of the reality we all live in. Parties are extremely narrow minded which will never cater to the diversity of this country. Their set ideals prevent any form of critical thinking that would allow them to make effective long term policies.

Which renders all of this political banter completely pointless. One side will always be bitching about the other while ALL of the people they bitch about are completely incompetent.

TDA could also be reference to Trickle Down Syndrome. We have seen how tax cuts for the very wealthy have worked out- for the very wealthy. I'm amazed at how many U.S. citizens still believe that phony term is actually valid. In 10 years' time there will be millions of new homeless: senior citizens all. The "working class" is now an epithet. The very wealthy use it that way, as they want their various strategies to drain the assets of all the "retired" seniors who still HAVE to work, and are still losing.

The "Space Force" is something for those losing seniors to be distracted by.

I find the whole thing to be so grossly bizarre that I can't stand to talk or write about it for very long. Bad Juju comin' for the senior working people.

Being a supporter and all can clearly see why you speak from emotion instead of rational right now. The author of the book has agreed to testify, yet...and it won’t be the only book.

You might want to review the evidence.
We can revisit this after the acquittal if you wish.

    1. He will never win the primary
    2. He will never win the election
    3. We will protest him out
    4. We will have a special prosecutor interview 500 witnesses and indict him
    5. We will impeach him
    6. We will convict him
    7. We will remove him
    8. We have over ten candidates that will defeat him in the next election

    Emotion? Yes
    Facts? Well, uh, no
    Acquittal? Yes
    Conviction? No

Okay, a more serious question, if I may...

I haven't seen the charter for the Space Force. What exactly will they be empowered (for lack of a better term) to do?

Will they take over management of military related satellites? Perhaps the charter is out there (I suspect it is), but I have never seen it.

Even tho tiddles thinks it's his great idea, Space Force is nothing new. The Russkies had one, not once but twice before. His buddy Vlad likely told him it'd be a good idea to kick his own version off to divert attention from his abject idiocy in every other matter. This just adds one to the ever-growing list.

I don't see how people support this man even if we ignore all the Russia and impeachment stuff.

This is a man who said there were good people on both sides are Charlottesville, telling congress people of color to go back where they came from, his statements calling Latin American immigrants rapist and murderers, retweeting stuff from English white supremacist and basically admitting to sexual assault on tape. All of that should be enough.

Thanks for the link Ozark. It was interesting to see page, after page, after page, of department structure and a couple of paragraphs representing essentially a "charter" at the end.

Even though I despise the Orange one, the "Space Force" probably isn't a terrible idea. Not sure about the name however.

No question it sounds corny in the context of current culture. But I expect someone in the Air Force called it that as a simple extension of the term. I understand the humor in it all but also realize it is a matter of national security.

That link was simply a clean link to the unadulterated source material. Thought that’s what you wanted.
