    Stand Up Comedy Thread Youtube

I love to watch a good stand up comedian do his or her thing. A great stress reliever from the daily grind. An escape if you will, similar to a bike ride or some personal time with your lover. Post up some of your favorite stand up comedians YouTube for all to enjoy. One of my favorites that comes to mind is Brian Reagan.

Yep George Carlin is a genius among comedians. And he is my #1 of all time.
Robin Williams also a genius but slightly off kilter. Very much so a bipolar but that's what makes him able to do what he does so well.
    All excellent choices so far.

Some great comedians in here. Now my stress level can be treated with just a click into this thread. Keep em coming, maybe any of us can discover a comic that we have never heard. For myself though I can listen to the same comic do the same routine over and over and still enjoy it. Humor really is the best medicine.

Bill Burr, good call. Very funny and not mainstream. Some controversial topics and one that,I have never heard any other comic delve into. Pedifiles, very ballsy.

Bill Burr is funny. And sadly he wasn't lying about the Pedo thing. As an adult male, I can't make faces at kids or try to make them laugh without getting dirty looks from other parents unless; A) They know me or B) I have my kids with me.

A local comedian and TV presenter by the name of Adam Hills was doing a show that aired on ABC last Saturday night called "Funny As; Adam Hills" He is disabled, only has one leg, and often has someone on stage signing for him / the audience. This week there was a group of deaf people in the audience. He was telling a joke about the difference between men and women when they go to and talk about strip shows. He clearly wasn't expecting two of the deaf guys to be gay strippers and the exchange that followed between Adam Hills and the two gay strippers all via the person doing the signing was very funny. Unfortunately I can't find a link to it yet but when it pops up on free view I will link it in. Below is a link to the teaser / promo, if you can watch the episode do, one of the better performances from one of our funnier stand up comics.

Kyle Kinane is one of my favourites, and he rides mountain bikes so he's extra awesome! He doesn't have many good clips on YouTube, but his comedy special Whiskey Icarus was on Comedy Central a little awhile ago, and it's great.

    I miss this guy...

I used to watch Undercover Brother DVD when I don't have any new comedy DVD available. Didn't realize his stand up act was killer.

She's a bit of an acquired taste, but this is one of her more accessible bits. I personally love her crazier routines.

Joe Rogan. Most people know him from Fear Factor or his work as a UFC commentator, but he also does a bunch of stand-up.

LOL now that was funny. I thought I had seen all of his routines but not that one. When I'm bored on the forums and need a pick me up. This is one of my go to threads. Scroll down and open one I haven't opened and instantly my day is better.

The only good comedians are the ones that point out our hippocracies as a society.

Doug Stanhope; George Carlin R.I.P.; Lenny Bruce R.I.P.; Joe Rogan; Lewis Black; Mark Marin; Dave Attel; Richard Jeni R.I.P.; Dick Gregory; Richard Prior; Lord Buckley; Robert Klein; Richard Belzer; and last, but not least, Bill Hicks(who has already been mentioned in this thread).

I know some May disagree but IMO Ellen Degeneres is hilarious when she does her stand up routine.
I saw her way back in 88' doing stand up at the Improv in San Diego. That was before she became famous, and man I LMFAO.

Just caught a comedy routine on HBO with Tim Wilson. I never even heard of him before but he cracked me up. So I just googled him to share some with you guys. And I discovered he passed away of a heart attack in February at age 52. Sad but his routines and making people laugh lives on.

The first part wasn't that funny, but if you fast forward 2:00, his Arnold Schwarznegger bit is hilarious.

Just saw this guy in HBO and he is one of the funniest comedians I've ever watched. I was in tears I was laughing so hard. The entire 41 minutes was a nonstop laugh fest.

That is true. It used to be the case that you could watch the majority of comedians with your family. Now, most are filthy. Adult comedy is now the norm.

But who said we all want to listen to filth? I don't.

If you've ever spent any time waiting for your lady in a nail salon. Especially in Southern California, then this should hit home. She's right on the mark. Hilarious!

My X sent me this in memory of my many trips in with her and my patience.

Yip. In some ways it's refreshing to see mild racism tolerated again although I doubt we'll see a return to the heady days of the real deal:

And that was prime-time family entertainment! Amazing how times change. For the better in this case.

All of the other main characters, including his wife, were tolerant, decent people.

While I do think it crossed the line it does make you think, how can you illustrate how abhorrent racism is without showing racism?

An American show from the seventies / All In The Family was shown in prime time weekly.

I watched a few of those clips. It seems in a similar vein to 'Love Thy Neighbour'.

The thing is, despite being racist and offensive, what part did shows like this play in the development of race relations? Racial equality has moved forward greatly, especially in your country. Did racial humour like this hinder progress? I'm not convince.

When I was a kid I watched things like 'Love Thy Neighbour' and though some of it was pretty funny. There were loads of stand-ups who told racial jokes, some of those jokes were pretty funny too. Did it make me think less of black or Asian people? Not in the slightest. I reckon I was big enough to know the difference between jokes and the real world and in some ways being able to laugh about an issue takes the heat out of it.

I think that in some ways the extreme political correctness encountered today has a negative effect on tolerance. People who are genuinely not racist can resent the fact that they may be branded racist for one careless word.

Here's a clip of a truly underrated comic, most people know him from SNL, but his first love is stand-up comedy.

I also heard Patrice Oneil who I've never heard before. Very funny so I Googled him only to discover ge passed away in 2011'. I'd post up a clip but he's a bit foul mouthed for here. Check him out though, I heard a bit about black woman returning product to stores. Hilarious!
