... and if we just ... So...I was coming in through the back door last night...

...because the lights weren't on on the front porch when I got home. When I turned the key to unlock the door, the deadbolt broke. The key was just spinning in the cylinder, and the door was (is) still locked...had to walk all the way around front and go in the front door anyway.

So anyway, since you're all here thinking this thread was about something totally different...what all do ya'll need to do to your place to keep it from falling apart?

I would steal them, wait for you to post a reward, then return them. Upon return I would recieve the reward and use it to buy bike parts

Speaking of locks.. I keep my bike on a repair stand displayed in the front window of my house for all the neighborhood kids to drool over since my garage door refuses to lock!! So my house always stays locked. And all the neighbors have my number in case any fishy business happens around my house!! I've had to much stolen!!

All I need to do to fix things up is to "come through the back door" more often...

We don't even have keys. 8 years and haven't locked once. The rottweiler helps, but really its because we live in the middle of nowhere in rural NM. I tell my wife if someone did come to steal, they'd show up to the worse garage sale they'd ever seen and not take anything. (my guitar and my bikes are the only things I'd be sad to loose)... Now let me knock on wood and hope the good luck continues.

    Daa-um. She's a double wide?
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

House was broken into the day before thankgiving 09. $8500 in stuff missing. Shortly after I replaced all the exterior doors with solid core, replaced all the locks with key only Schlage deadbolts and knobs, replaced the antique garage door opener with a new craftsman with the rolling code feature.

Aside from that, Im in the middle of remodelling the guest bathroom, master bath is next on the list. Carpet needs to be replaced and I need to paint the exterior. I have a busy summer to do list.

^ This. Having a big, aggressive looking dog helps...even if in reality the only danger is being licked to death.

Mines the same way unless you come over the fence. Then be prepared to lose a limb. She scared the piss out of the meter reader the other day.

    I live in the hood.
I lock my two bikes together to a chair in a spare bedroom. There's no way to get them through the door haha.

I came home one day recently and my front door was wide open. I jumped out of the truck with my .38 and stormed the house in kill mode. My idiot roomate left for work without closing the door. Luckily no one came in and stole my bikes or my Martin.

Set my lazy ass neighbor's lawns on either side of my house on fire so their 2 foot tall weeds quit infesting my yard. It pisses me off and the city won't do s**t about it.
