    Sleep Walking

    Anyone have experience with it?

It appears I have developed a sleep walking habit. Last night I got out of bed about 3am and went out to the back yard and brushed down the pool. I've been battling a bit of algae on one section the last couple weeks so I can see how it would be on my mind while I slept.

The job has me very stressed and we've had a bad couple months with the loss of my Mother in Law and a dog. I'm thinking the stress is driving it.

    Any input?

Sorry to hear about your loses. Grieving can be tough. There were many nights when I had operational problems at work that I would solve in my sleep. Sounds like you need to take a break and take some time for yourself.

Hate to hear about how things are going for you Phillbo. Dealing with any of those issues would be tough enough but multiples means you can't ever stop thinking or worrying about things. If its not one thing its another. Abnormal sleep patterns are a sure sign of stress, if not depression. Doing chores in your sleep seems like even when sleeping you may be trying to take your mind off life's problems. I agree with norton, finding some downtime to reset would be a good thing right now.

Getting chores done in the middle of the night does not concern me but sometimes we find dishes in the sink which means I'm eating as well.. I guess that is the reason my appetite has been off a bit lately.

That sounds a little concerning. You might want to talk to someone about how you're feeling.

No experience with it, that I know of. Would be nice to wake up and have chores done, tho.

Good luck finding out what's plaguing you, though.

I sleep walk occasionally and usually end up in the kitchen. A few months ago I made some weird concoction and just left it on the counter. Other times I put things in the fridge from cabinets or put the milk in the cabinet from the fridge. I talk in my sleep to.

One time a long time ago I peed in a trash can but I was drunk that night.

    Sorry about your losses, Phillbo.

Wandering around the pool whilst sleepwalking could be dangerous I would think?

Talk to your doc about it for starters and go from there.

Sorry about your recent losses. I wish I had something of value to add but I don't. I've never had an issue with it and have never known anyone that has.

I'm happy that you're not a sleepwalker. I would hate to hear of your untimely demise on CNN one of these days. But look on the bright side, you could have Anderson Cooper reporting from your front lawn!
