Composer Dave Soldier and artists Komar & Melamid took an online poll on their website, and then used the data to scientifically compose The Most Unwanted Song of all time. The song is twenty-two minutes and features instruments like bagpipes, tubas and the banjo, with political slogans, advertising jingles and cowboy lyrics

I was only able to listen for 3 minutes

Here's some fun science that involves math, and frequency - i Like leaving it on sometimes for ambient noise - try them all out!

whitney music box var. 0 - chromatic - 48 tines

    I've let var.12 - chromatic - prime numbers only and var. 13 - chromatic - non-primes only

Someone might ask, "what in the heck are you listening to??" and I just say, "it's the newest in abstract classical!"
    Honestly... ahh I give up

WTF? I wouldn't call that "science" unless he also uses some kind of anti-gravity generator to haul that crap around everywhere.

yah i read that. interesting, that mistake is said to be mitigating evolutionary factor in mutation of cells and that it still effects us to this day... it might not have been a mistake, it could have been brought on by some solar mass ejection, asteroid or comet

I met with a client last night who is a scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and he was expressing fear of funding being cut. My background is nowhere near science, but I have an extreme fascination with it and am appalled that we don't direct more funding towards the important work that these and women are doing for the world.

I wish the meatheads of the world could see the inherent importance of scientific research, and not just how to make a better depression pill.

This is what the scientist you met is worried about:

    AIBS Public Policy Office

There's a lot of mistrust of scientists out there, certainly not helped by people like this guy:

South Korean plant compound researcher faked email addresses so he could review his own studies « Retraction Watch

and so when the budget needs to be adjusted due to shortages, science funding is one of the first to go. It's been happening for a long time.

Nice videos. I like science and gadgets. I don't have any vids to post but here is a list of my science stuff.

Nitinol "muscle" wire (mash it into any design, it straightens out under heat)
Magnaview Fluid (oil-based fluid that has suspended iron filings in it and makes cool designs if subjected to a magnetic field)
1" cube neodymium magnet (watch your fingers!)
Thinking putty (putty with iron filings in it)
    Glow-in-the-dark putty
Gallium (non-toxic metal that melts at 86*F)
Fresnel Lens (imagine a magnifying glass burning things but at 10x)
    Three small uranium-doped cracked-glass marbles
    Two large opaque uranium-doped marbles
Two large uranium-doped cracked-glass marbles with some brown coloring mixed in
