    Rate Grades of Grater Ratings

    Are graters all they are cracked up to be.

    I have a few



    one of these old standbys.



    and a couple of these.

    for hard cheese.


    and a zester.


    Am I good with these , Or do I need more? do you have any ratings on the grades of Graters ?

    Oops, one man's sucky cheese grater is another man's recommendation. The one we have isn't like either picture but it doesn't suck too bad. All stainless, use it and throw the whole thing in the dishwasher.

    Ours is a cheap plastic pampered chef nightmare that falls apart during use and has dead spots between the grater and the press. That means you get chucks of ungrated food sneaking into the food. Yours looks more promising. Ours was free for hosting a party. It wasn't worth free.

    Ours works pretty good for the pasta hard cheeses. I just used it the
    other night for the homemade almond pesto w/pasta.

    I have an old fashioned box style grater and love it. I can grate cheese, taters, carrots and anything else like a mo fo.

    I have to say that there is absolutely, positively nothing more of a pain in the ass to clean than a dirty cheese grater.

    Umm.. You do not clean grater by inserting it in your ass. It would most certainly cause pain.
