Do we not know that Picard is not a real person? And if so, would he really ask questions like THESE?, since he is at the most a Sock?

Sorry guys, I accidentally started a whole new thread yesterday.

Learning a lot from the answers to that one, tho. Some folks are taking it seriously, cool.

Also a couple people plus rep'd me before mods moved it from "general" to the OC. Amazing. Thanks, fellas.

Considering inviting Picard over for brews and to talk bikes; I always enjoyed STNG.

Okay, gotta run now. Coffee's kicking in. Make it so, #2.

I'm not sure if this thread was meant to mock Picard or credit him.

With about 25 posts that "Picard would make" that are pretty similar topics I think it would be a credit for him considering you're capable of the same thoughts as he is.....

So I guess, good job Picard for giving the senior folks of this forum something to think about.

Except youíre missing the whole context. Picard is Finch is Kona. One in the same. Hard to keep the three personalities as they should be. They evolve and overlap into each other over time because itís the same person.

Picard brings entertainment to the forum, and I think he's a nice guy. He doesn't even really get bent out of shape when people joke about him, unlike some members here that get all pissy.

    Get with the program korndog.

I like Finch when heís Finch.

    Kona, not a fan

Picard, his old personality was pretty entertaining. Since itís been mixed in with Finches real one, itís getting old.

Maybe I should consult my cronies for a 2nd opinion? You come up with some whacked out ideas, lol!

Remember Katz? Wanna know one of the biggest reasons why he left? He couldn't stick around anymore because of you and others running around calling out socks without solid proof, y'all are just guessing, and if they weren't really socks then they likely left too, like that couple that was really fun, can't remember their names but the gal posted in the OC a bunch and then her hubby joined in.

Well, seeing how I started all this sock hoopla, Iíll start by apologizing to all for my mouth runneth over. Iíll try to keep my sock accusations in the washing machine. Fair warning though, eventually they will need to be aired out.

OK I have a Picard question: why do people say always try use all of a suspension fork? Because they spent $1000 for it and want to get their money's worth? Whoever thought up that rule must hate XC riding. I've recently learned that on trails that don't have any jumps or drops, can be rocky but no large obstacles, using LESS of the fork makes the bike significantly faster. As in ramping the compression up to 7/8, 9 being complete lockout, or two clicks away from lockout. This brings the normal travel from 120mm max down to about 60mm at the most, probably 30-40mm for the average hit. On that amount of fork travel for 120mm starting, every click brings the travel down about 10mm. The fork feels more solid, stronger, it feels like it's holding the front end up much better on fast turns. It also makes me feel like I can go faster at top speed, that the pedals don't spin out as soon in top gear (whether that's true in reality I don't know, it just feels that way). Now, that doesn't mean I'm going to switch to a fully rigid setup anytime soon. But I have a lot of newfound respect for compression: it's not just for pavement or fire roads. It can be used on a downhill trail as long as it's not too steep or has large obstacles. I'm getting numbers now where I'm in striking distance of some of the pro XC racing segment times. I'm actually faster than some of them on certain sections. I never dreamed of that a couple of years ago. Having said that, those guys will still wipe the floor with my numbers on the entire loop, where they average 10-12 mph and I'm doing a casual 6-8 mph (I don't like the concept of being a riding machine 24/7 out there, I like to take my time and enjoy the outdoor scenery between downhill segments). But if I were to blindly follow the 'use all of your fork' dogma I'd still be flopping around on corners with a wet noodle front end.

That show was started by cops, to put the cops in a better good light, as they were dimming to dark very fast back in the day (and are today very much so dark and dimmed), well COPS was started to show they cared and are not corrupt.

I can't watch those shows anymore. The only shows I watch from time to time are the car chases. The last one I watched, was a HELLCAT get away from the heli LA. One before that where they made it into Mexico. The classic is the bank robbery in LA where the robbers out gunned and out bullet-proofed the fuzz. Another classic, the tank chase.

No they dont get paid, unless they sue and get paid out due to corruptness hence its on video.

    ďThe tank chaseĒ

Which happened in San Diego, I watched it live as it was happening on the news. What the videos now on Youtube donít show is what the news helicopter filmed and live streamed. My girl and I were watching as the tank tried going over a concrete freeway barrier and got stuck. A couple of cops managed to get to the tank hatch and get it opened. They shot and killed the guy. And at the same time reached in and pulled him out. He was wearing sweat pant style pants and the cops accidentally pulled them off as he was being yanked out of the tank. We saw him front view naked on live news, then the screen went black. Back on in an instant with apologies at what was shown. My girl and I were in shock at what we just saw. All the vids on YouTube have that cut out, luckily. Very sad demise.

For many years after [maybe still] you could drive through neighborhoods around San Diego and still see lasting damage from that chase.

For those that havenít seen it:

I can't watch those shows anymore. The only shows I watch from time to time are the car chases. The last one I watched, was a HELLCAT get away from the heli LA. One before that where they made it into Mexico. The classic is the bank robbery in LA where the robbers out gunned and out bullet-proofed the fuzz. Another classic, the tank chase.

No they dont get paid, unless they sue and get paid out due to corruptness hence its on video.

three packages of 48 roll Royale, which had stacks and stacks at Walmart.
No shelves were empty, not at Walmart, not at grocery stores. The only thing I saw a couple weeks ago was the soup section on the shelves somewhat empty, but still had lots available on shelves and whole stacks at the front of the aisle display areas. Eggs and butter were all out weeks ago, but not now. So the whole story of "the shelves are empty" is a geographical problem. Probably in the poorer sections of the city, I overheard a lady say shelves were empty but she lived in the hood, the slums where mostly new comers live and poor people, cheap houses, higher crime rate areas.

I have been unable to obtain CHARMIN TP, which is the first choice and the choice I always buy no matter what. Sure its more expensive, but its pretty darn good TP. I buy it by the case load at Costco, just havent been to Costco in a month. Maybe they are sold out of CHARMIN TP. Who knows. The richer neighborhoods have stocked shelves in the stores. Maybe they have retreated to their 2nd homes and cabins, which is understandable. Would want to be in a crowded city with more potential of getting infected with covid-19, then say in a small cottage town. But then the availability of icu beds. They'd just head back to big city if they get infected and hunker down, then close to icu beds. Here we are far from capacity, but all the small towns are begging non residents to stay away. Even having check stops for the touristy areas.

Thats right, get the Charmin TP, the best, smooth, no little bits of TP breaking off the cheaper TP brands. Charmin is the only way to go. Get Charmin.

Funny you mentioned that. My in-laws (who we've been shopping and delivering for) insisted on Charmin Ultra-Strong. This isn't something that you find at the mom & pop grocers that carry certain food items they also insist on.

So after getting their food yesterday, I swung by Target and the ONLY TP they had stocked was ó Charmin Ultra-Strong. In 36-roll packs. An entire aisle's worth. I felt like I won the lottery.

Too bad I was only allowed to buy one pack.

Thats when you go in multiple times, or call your friends and family to roll on by and get one pack, the biggest pack there is. I haven't noticed the TP aisle empty, just notice they dont got no big packs of TP, like doube 8's so just go in more often, TP is always available but I can understand the hoarding, but I say just stock up dont hoard. Stocking up for an extended period vs Hoarding, a fine line, no.

I predict that in 3 weeks time the grocery and other outlets will be saturated in toilet paper with very few buying.

I hit a grocery store today [Safeway] that in weeks past was packed full of hoarders with ZERO inventory on the shelves. Today the shelves were 80% full with a mere two to three shoppers per aisle.

Thanks for the advice BUT, that was a question Picard would ask.

I'm following the rules- Many of my neighbors have told me time and time again I need to wear something when checking for mail.
