A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around. If he stopped, she stopped. Furthermore she kept staring at him. She finally overtook him at the checkout, and she turned to him and said, "I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease; it's just that you look so much like my late son." He answered, "That's okay." "I know it's silly, but if you'd call out 'Good bye, Mom' as I leave the store, it would make me feel so happy." She then went through the checkout, and as she was on her way out of the store, the man called out, "Goodbye, Mom." The little old lady waved and smiled back at him.

Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine into someone's day, he went to pay for his groceries. "That comes to $121.85," said the clerk.. "How come so much? I only bought 5 items." The clerk replied, "Yeah, but your Mother said you'd be paying for her things, too." Bet you thought this was going to be a real tear-jerker, but instead ... Don't trust Little Old Ladies!!

I am about to embark on custom mounting Thule Prologue system carriers to my jeep and have a question. Basically, my plan is to take what is now a horizontal roof mount and move it to the back of my jeep mounted vertically. The forks will mount at the top.

Has anyone transported their bikes in a vertical position and if so, are there any down sides to doing so?

I am very limited on my options due to the way my jeep is built and have a good buddy that is a fabrication guru.

The plan is to use u-bolts and attach to my tire carrier and then attach the yakima sleds to the mounts on either side of the spare.

    end ctrl -v

That's right, absolutely nothing. I was shocked as I always seem to be copy and pasting something.

To know your chainline, you need to measure the distance between the inside of your rear right drop-out to the middle of the middle cog of your cassette. Then take your rear spacing divided by 2 and substrac the previous measure from it to know your rear chainline.

    Let's say you have a rear 150mm axle :

    150mm/2=75mm

And the measure you got from drop-out to middle cog is 25mm

    75mm-25mm=50mm

So your rear chainline is 50mm.

Then using a flat ruler, measure the distance between the middle of your chainring to the middle of the seat tube/frame. This will give you your current front chainline. Let's say you get 52.5mm.

Now you need to match either the rear to the front or front to the rear.

If you want to match the front, then you'll need four 2.5mm chainring spacers to stick between your crank arm spider and chainring and maybe longer chainring bolts to accommodate the new setup.

But if you want to match the rear, you will have

MAINE TOWNSHIP, Ill. (FOX Chicago News) -
When a northwest suburban mother discovered her 18-month-old daughter's finger had been bitten, she assumed the family pit bull was responsible.

But Cook County sheriff's police said the culprit was actually another household pet: a piranha, Pioneer Press is reporting.

Police said one of the child's fingertips was bitten off on the night of June 19 inside the family's home in the Bay Colony subdivision in unincorporated Maine Township.

Police said the child's mother reported she heard her daughter crying and noticed the toddler's finger was bleeding, the fingertip missing.

The mother believed the family's pit bull had bitten the child, but further investigation by police determined the piranhas, swimming in a fish tank near where the child had been playing, may have been responsible.

Police said the child's father cut open one of the piranhas, and the piece of his daughter's finger was recovered from the fish.

The child and the severed part of her finger were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said she could not disclose information about the child's treatment, including whether doctors were able to reattach her fingertip.

Cook County Sheriff's Department spokesman Frank Bilecki told the Chicago Tribune that the parents were distraught and aren't facing charges.

A local aquarium shop owner told FOX Chicago News that it's hard to believe a pet piranha would have done this.
