Personal hygiene in this time of crisis

Since most of are working from home now, has your personal hygiene took a hit? If one is a regular on the videoconferencing, then being presentable from the waist up is a reasonable expectation.

Otherwise, have you gotten a bit lazy with the facial hair and regular hair?
I'm watching Tiger King for future hairstyle options since this land of limbo is now extended another damn month.

    Are you stankin' or clean?
The only important thing these days, is rhythm and melody. Rhythm...and melody.

Clean. But dressing up is wearing jeans (versus typical dress slacks/business attire) with a t-shirt. No button downs and no dry cleaning right now. :-D

Going to be a real long line for a haircut when this subsides. I predict the return of the man-bun. LOL!!

I'm as clean/dirty as I ever was, hands are much cleaner now tho. Dress the same, hair is getting longer but I usually wear a hat anyway.

House seems to be getting cleaner as time passes.

Shaving every other or third day, wearing sweats around the house, seldom brush or comb my hair.

Pretty much the same as always....
Do not take anything I post seriously. I don't.

Within a month we'll be suspicious of people with nice haircuts.

Haircuts, that is the nice thing about buzing it #2 on the sides #4 on top, pretty much looks the same all the time. My routine is still the same as it was before.

I second the house actually gettting cleaner, I have been more regular cleaning the house since I am here all the time and tend to see it more now.

Your personal hygiene should be getting better.

    Washing hands more frequently
Cleaning more hand rails, door handles
    Washing your clothing more often
    Washing your towels more often

Its human nature to be lazy

I'm thinking of growing in what hair I have left and going for a "Keith Flint"

I'm an "essential service" so still working but I'm on my own most of the day so no-one will get to see it.

Is it the one simply called "Crystal deodorant" on amazon? Been wanting to try something other than Old Spice.

Thanks guys! I will try it out.

I remember a long time ago my GF's hippie brother had some kind of crystal looking rock of some sort, probably similar but I didn't think it worked, hopefully this stuff is better. It looks like it'll be better, judging by the ratings and your experiences.

One of the reasons I got the stick was to cut a small piece for backpacking. Unfortunately it doesn't cut well without shattering. I suppose if I had a bandsaw or something it would work. So now I need to wait about a year for it to wear down to the size I want.

Seriously good stuff though. I only apply it 2x a week.

moderate germaphobe here, so not much has changed.

Agreed that the house is cleaner...we have been purging a TON of stuff actually.

It has been awesome to not have to wear dress clothes. Teaching on line does not require it...I don't wear any of my Slayer or Iron Maiden t shirts on teaching days, but a "non offensive"t shirt and shorts are cool with my principals...

Apply reservedly and it lasts. Everyone should have the ability to shower in their shelter in place. Its the backpackers (and apparently middle schoolers) that dont shower that use the sprays to hide the stench from their dirty clothes. There does seem to be less and less laundromats around, so not sure where the apartment dwellers would go if laundry not in apartment complex. More and more laundromats are shut down, engineered failure of washers/dryers, higher rents, more vandalism, thefts of coins.

I'm actually considering using some of my wife's undies because she's got a zillion undies. My fear is that she is thinking of doing the same with my undies, and I don't have a zillion. I only have 3. Well, two good ones. The third one is ripped a bit in 4 places but still comfy.

When I was a poor wee lad living in London with no money, we would often resort to newspaper to wipe. It becomes better if you scrumple it up first so as to soften it a bit. Also you can dampen it, scrumple it up, then let it dry out.
When I was out and about on army exercises, we would sometimes use dock leaves if we had no TP. They are quite absorbent on their backsides! Not sure you can get anything similar here tho...

Thanks guys, I knew you'd come through. I actually hoarded a shitload of TP well before anyone else panicked so I am good for a long, long time. I just wanted to see how creative you all would be and as usual, you did not disappoint.

What if youíre busy cruising the MTBR forum and donít have free hands?
What if you donít desire to wrap your hands around a big ole hairy ass?

Use your finger. It makes you want to avoid touching your face, you wash your hands more often, and the smell enforces social distancing.

You can also use coffee filters as toilet paper. But it does change the taste of the coffee...
Do not take anything I post seriously. I don't.
