    OT: 2012 MLB thread.

Does anyone here follow MLB? If so what is your favorite team and least favorite? Lets get the chatter going! If you don't like baseball, please save your comments for another thread.

Play Ball!!! Big Rangers fan here since 2008. It's a good day when they win and the Yankees / White Sox lose.

In todays game, Rangers over the Twins 6-2. Glad to see the Angels C.J. Wilson get a W over the Yanks.

    Milwaukee Brewers.

I can't imagine any ballpark being more fun to go to than Miller Park. Historic, sure. Beautiful, sure. But fun, no.

I'm an NL guy. Tortured Mets fan. It's been tough staying a fan for many years, but I refuse to be a "fair weather fan" and find some other team's band-wagon to jump on. And as a Mets fan, it is an absolute that you must HATE the Phillies...and I do. Also, easy to root against Atlanta. For whatever reason I don't detest the other NL East teams as much as these 2. But, I'm certainly not routing for them.

I'm within driving distance of Wrigley, The Cell and Miller Park. I'll take Miller every time. I'm actually going up there next week to see them play the Dodgers. Give me a brat with a soda. Good times. I try to avoid dollar beer night at all costs. Then again, it's Milwaukee.

A friend of mine is a Met fan like yourself. Can't root for the Phillies he says too. They do have a good team though. Solid pitching.

I'm now about 3 1/2 hours NW of Miller Park so I don't get down nearly as often as I want to. Plus working M-F really narrows down the games I can make it too. Will be at the Brewers-Twins game next month though. Made it down for the NLCS against the Cards Game 1 (they scored 6 in the 5th) and I have never seen a stadium go quite so ape****.

I went to UW-M for a while and we'd go during the week to day games; if you get one of the cheap Bernie's Bleachers seats and move down you can get a sweet seat for like 5 bucks.

Wow. True story. Check this out. Tonight I wanted to check on the Indians / Royals game. As soon as I tune in, first pitch, home run Royals. I then had to step out for a bit. When I got back, I decided to check on the Diamondback / Rockies game. Tuned in, first pitch, three run homer. What is going on?!?

Remind me not to check the Yankee game tomorrow. Unless the visiting team is up.

I'm a Giants fan and have been since I was skittle kid, 2010 was a great year for me, the last five weeks were so fun in sf, coming back from 10 games out. Then the playoffs, the WS, the parade.
I hate the dodgers, the A's, Phillie has a special place in hell as far as I concerned, if you listen to the media and their fans it sounds like they have win the last 2 WS and have this one wrapped up too.
I love talking baseball so let's keep this thread going

The 2010 Giants in the series was tough. Very good pitching. You guys had it and we ran out of gas. Heard B. Wilson may be out with Tommy J surgery. Love The Machine!

Its going to be tough without Wilson, he's one of the hearts of our team. 2010 was a bummer for you guys, I liked your team, except for cliff lee. I knew we had a chance after game one when we chased that guy, that was like the first runs he ever gave up in the playoffs I think

2010 was a bummer but game six of 2011 World Series was worse. I'm at work following the game back and forth when I can. Getting ready to leave and find out the Rangers are 2 up. Stoked. Started to drive home. Friends are texting me, "WHERE ARE YOU? YOU BETTER GET HOME NOW!". Tie game. Rangers go up again. OK. Here we go. One more strike....twice. Imagine a grown man on his hands and knees praying for one more strike...

The Cards had a great team. I give them props. They wanted it more and got it. I've followed the Rangers team from late 2008/2009 spring training, watching pretty much every game possible up to game seven of last year and it was an experience. I wouldn't trade it again for the world. Well...maybe one more strike.

Been a Cardinals fan since late 60s. It was a heeluva comeback last year.

That said I'm a Rangers fan, given I live in the vicinity, if things are going well for them AND the foe isn't St Louiee.

I despise the Astros, Cubs, Mets and Reds mainly. And in that order.

In the early and mid 70s I did like the Oakland As andd Cincy's Big Red Machine and I do think Pete Rose should be forgiven and inducted to the HOF. Likewise Big Mac.

I agree. Big Red Machine was awesome. Pete Rose should be HOF'er. And I don't ever care that you said you hate the Mets!

I used to watch a game every now and then. I'm just not into sports as much as I once was. My favorite baseball teams are the Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Oakland Athletics. I still collect baseball cards.

first yard i ever went to as a kid was in the bronx and got close to a thurman munson foul ball. still bleed pinstripes to this day. i don't respect them all the time but i love 'em anyway. I respect bosox fans, though. they know how to live with pain in the east. no hate really, mostly love for nasty sliders, and cutters. rivera owns.

Rangers over the Red Sox 6-3.

Cliff Lee of the Phillies pitched 10 innings (wow) but the team blew it in the 11th to the Giants.

Got spanked by the Braves. Our 2, 3 and 4 hitters were out with Justin Upton and Chris Young out for a while.

On the bright side the Coyotes beat the Hawks in yet another overtime game. Every game in the series so far has been OT. What a blast.

Thank you. As long as it's not the....well...I keep that to myself.

Rangers split a twin bill with the Tigers.

    Game 1- Rangers 10 Tigers 4
    Game 2- Rangers 2 Tigers 3

In other news...What happened to the Red Sox??? Up 9-1 and then lose 15-9?!?!?

At a family function yesterday. I'm the lone Mets fan in a family full of Yankee fans. So, Yankee/Red Sox game was on. That had to hurt. 9-0 in the 5th and you lose 15-9 to your arch-enemy More fuel for your fire. Enjoy Bobby Valentine!

Just watched Kemp hit his 11th dinger of this young season to win the game in the 10th inning. They beat the Nationals again and the crowd continues to cheer, "MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP!..." for Kemp.

Dbacks are sucking lately. What the heck happened to the offense?

the Dodger's Matt Kemp will be MVP. I have ZERO doubt about it. Maybe the best player in the NL last year and will be this year. I fear the Dodgers.

Rangers over the Jays in 13 innings 8-7. Rangers go back to back to back on HR's. Umpire wrongly ejected the Jays pitcher after a pitch got away from him after the third home run. No warning. Bam. Ejected. Horrible call.

    Sigh... Royals Fan Here.....

As much as it pains me to admit it, I follow the losingest team in major league sports, the Kansas City Royals. It's painful. Their ownership sucks. There's been a twenty year tradition of losing.

Sigh.... maybe next year... If the low functioning owner buys some 1 and 2 starting pitchers. The pitching staff this year are all 4-5 starters.

I love the Rays. They have been my team since 1998 while I was in high school in Tampa.

I have also been enjoying going to the D'backs games since moving here to AZ.

Can't wait to see the Rays dominate once we're healthy again.
