    The Nuge and.....

I'm trying to think of some bands that sound like Ted Nugent so I can make a playlist. Any suggestions?

I meant I'm looking for some other bands that played music comparable to Ted Nugent. I've got a few Ted faves, now i need some other bands to round out the playlist.

By the way, 'Death by Misadventure' is probably my top Nugent song with 'Stranglehold' a close second. All the funny between-song banter on "Double-Live Gonzo" is top-notch as well.

Try Pandora, the app not the band, I have found some really good stuff that I would never have heard of this way.

Damn, talk about reading comprehension failure. One guy falls in, all follow.

    Suggestions:

    Living Color

    Joe Bonamassa

Hey, this is harder than I thought it might be.

    Pendragon

    Smokin' Joe Kubek

    Faith No More

    Derek Sherinian

    Dream Theater

Man, I'm way off. Here's more!

    Sammy Hagar

    Montrose

Guess there's nothing like the Nuge. As much as I hate his viewpoints, that Ted Nugent disc with Derek St. Holmes was a slayer.

    Slayer

    Accept (Balls To The Wall!)

^ Now you've given up and are just naming bands in alphabetical order. ^

BTW, I comprehended the OP just fine. In my post, I just offered up - and I quote myself - "some muzak for the thread while we wait for replies......."

Throw him into Pandora and there you go.

Head to any GOP convention and see who's playing on the stage.
The only important thing these days, is rhythm and melody. Rhythm...and melody.

Trower, good call. I used to play drums with a three piece band whose guitarist sang and played just like Trower/Dewar. I was in heaven!

Long Misty Days slays me. I just wish it had been recorded a little better, but that's part of how it sounds now, if you know what I mean and I'm sure you do.

Maybe we should share a little of this illusive artist with our audience.

Listening to some live Pat Travers (with Carmine Appice on drums), it's pretty close to Ted.
