They're exhuming Michael Jacksons body as there's now evidence he may have actually died from food poisoning.

I might have to argue with you on the "fewer living in poverty" part. The homeless situation is beyond out of control, regardless of whether they choose to live that way or not.

But this is a NON-political thread, so let's keep it that way.

    The Economics of Peach Cobbler

I hear that working men are recently retiring millionaires and their sons are considering avoiding college debt by going to work in trades of higher demand and rising wages.

Then they will buy a house at a record low interest rate outside of the areas of inflated prices where people are forced into homelessness.
And they will enjoy making peach cobbler to eat now, and peach preserves to have in November, in the New House.....

I heard about that the other day, before the judge made a decision. I can see both sides of it, though I don't agree that the women have a basic human right to live there; but I do understand their protest. Seems like they could work out something (though I'm sure they'd need new laws or whatever), maybe the renters would have to agree to rent the place "as is" and the monthly rent would would be calculated to cover the taxes and insurance, though the insurance companies probably wouldn't like that and I'm sure there would be lots of other issues.

I drive down a road with multimillion dollar mansions (this is Atlanta suburbs, not California) with a couple of falling down houses next to them. Once of them was purchased a while back and they cleared the lot and tore one side off and then stopped, haven't done anything in months. But this isn't a homeless area and anyone there illegally would be reported immediately.

In this top-ended market, most every home in Cali is a multi-million dollar home.
