Maybe Iíve had too many Blue Moons....

After an awesome week of just flat out playing hard, Iíve been chilling tonight drinking beer and cooking brats and enjoying some of the best weather we could ask for. Been listening to some older music, 80s-90s rock. Nirvana, Guns and Roses, Foo Fighters, Metallica. I realize that there is some decent music coming out, but DAAAMN, will there ever be anything that good ever again? Re-acquaint yourself with those four bands if itís been awhile.

I agree with your opening statement.

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

I've found myself enjoying live tracks from that era/those bands more. I used to listen almost exclusively to the polished studio albums but now I'm looking up live Metallica cuts from the late 80's and listening back on Nirvana as well (not Unplugged). Also, Pantera's 101 Proof for when you need some more aggression. RIP Dime and Vinnie.

    Edit: I forgot Vinnie P.

Yeah, the past few days been listening to The Darkness and Airbourne, both have that classic rock n roll sound.

The music I hate is on the radio, even the classic rock channels will have some Auto-Tune BS on the public airwaves. Its hard to change the channel on the radio when a song like that comes around to air because I am riding the bicycle. Paid radio is better, but there are no personal listening devices for XM and Sirius.

Dude, I get it. Lately in the evenings, I've just been vibing on a good book while revisiting some old favorite tunes or checking out some new things. Of course it helps to have an ice cold Stag Beer!

I like that hipster shit, though. Black Flag, Minor Threat, and Deerhoof was my bag last night. Tonight, who knows, but it'll probably be folk or metal.

No such thing as too many BM's. But for God sake, pour them into a glass before you enjoy them. They are even better aired out.

Everyone knows the best music was in the 60's and 70's. After that music pretty much went to shit. The 80's, disco, are you kidding.

If you have to add fruit to beer.... Blue moon, Corona! Etc.

I'm a fan of the dark stuff. I'm on #3 of Irish Death tonight, happy.

Ooooph...all of that soft 'rock' nonsense from the 70's makes me want to take the bridge. I may still have my 45's from that era. Seals & Croft, Air Supply, the 'I Go Crazy' dude...
The only important thing these days, is rhythm and melody. Rhythm...and melody.

Enough to make me start a thread lol.
I like all kinds of music, especially Americana/Folk, Chris Isaacs, Ryan Bingham, James McMurtry, Jason Isbell, etc, but dammit sometimes I need to let my hair down. And I can do that with Rob Zombie, White Zombie, Godsmack, etc. I just miss the good stuff sometimes

I kind of agree, but would say that it's any more than one.

But maybe we've all been wrong, maybe this wasn't about beer, but age?

Maybe. Desperate times call for desperate measures. The OP is clearly desperate. I imagine a scene of a quarantine, with nothing but blue moon to drink. Itís a dark place.
