    A little Photoshop help, please?

Would like to see what this car looks like with shiny black and matte black rims, please.

I wish I could find a higher resolution shot, but it's hard to find a shot from the side with those style rims.

I like the stock look, plus it will keep its value when it becomes a classic in a decade or two.

Black rims will simply result in a different shade of ugly. Your only hope of making it cool is slammed, dubb'd, yo'd, and blown to smithereens with dynamite. Then it would look pretty cool.

I forget the exact numbers these days, but custom wheels make chances of your vehicle getting pinched go up exponentially.

can I ask a sidebar question to the Photoshop users as there's clearly a few here. I'm in need of a basic photo editing program where I can edit photo's and possibly create a logo or two (it's a work thing). I'm willing to pay for a small initial investment but can't commit to an expensive monthly fee a la PS.

    What's available? Thx!!!

Pixel pushing programs are not what you want to use to create logos, you need a vector program. Unless these are just for a presentation and will not actually be used as artwork. Adobe Illustrator is probably the most commonly used, but it's expensive to "rent" as well and I'm not sure what an alternative is.

    Nice heels, btw.

Lol, oh, man, you guys are the best. I would seriously like to try Chazpat's version, but I don't think the transmission would last long.

And yeah, it's a homely car, but it was really ahead of its time with some of the features.

I wonder if I could get window shades made with my picture on them?

Just curious why would you recommend Plasti-Dip over spray paint? It seems like it would be too thick and would round the sharp lines of the rims?

Korns right, it's the big thing right now. Spray it on and if you don't like it, peel it off. It now comes in a variety of colors. But they've always had black. There's even a clear coat you can put on after if you want it to have some shine.

If it rounds the edges? I've never used it, all I know is every kid in the nation is doing right now. Some spray their entire vehicle and then peel it a month later and go for another color. It's pretty cheap, so give it s try and see if you like it.

    OR

Join Tacomaworld and ask questions in that thread. Don't let on that you're driving the vehicle in question. Just pretend you drive a Tacoma and you may get away with it for a few minutes.

Actually I've been thinking of doing my wheels in black chrome. There are kits now to get that look. I've always wanted to do my wheels and chrome emblems. Love that look, another option Finch.

But: Your wheels have to be chrome prior to doing this in order to achieve the best look. But I still think even with a dull wheel you could achieve a good look.

It's weird, I wasn't using third party hosting but I had a number of photos disappear, especially from the Users Caught on Film thread. They are still listed in my library (or whatever it's called) but without even a thumbnail. I still have some of them on my hard drive. I changed the name slightly and re uploaded it but it still came out blank. I just opened it in Photoshop and resaved it with a new name and it looks ok now.

This post is a natural product. Variances in spelling & grammar should be appreciated as part of its character & beauty.
