    "literally" really? literally?

My daughter says it occasionally and if Grandpa is around he makes more of it than we do, but he's a retired English teacher so it's second nature.

Wednesday a sun bather was run over by a city parks truck. Last I heard she's alive but I cringed when I saw and heard this young man say this

"I was literally standing outside on my porch, went inside for maybe 10 minutes, heard the alarms, came out, checked out what was going on and figured out someone got ran over. I was shocked," said sunbather Jordan Johnson.

I wonder if he was literally shocked.
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

I literally peed in the sink, irregardless of their being affects to my actions which definately puts me in the dog house.

Edit: I have a friend who does that crap all the time. I call him out every single time. I hate poor grammar and spelling; mispronunciation and misuse kill me too. Argh.

Edit edit: unless English is not your native tongue. Then I don't mind at all.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

This confirms our mayor is heartless having thrown out the homeless out of an agreed to area earlier this month.

Mayor Paul Soglin and Parks Superintendent Kevin Briski released a statement on the incident.

"Our hearts go out to the young woman who was injured this afternoon at James Madison Park as well as to the Parks employee driving the truck," they said in the statement.
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

So many people misuse and or overuse the "L" word I cringe every time I hear it.
Found this gem of a YouTube video explaining the whole thing, it's hilarious! enjoy

I accidentally laced into a girl on the bus for using it when she meant figuratively. She used it twice to describe a dog from hell. "I was literally dog sitting a dog from hell, literally." I asked her if since I don't believe in hell did she not watch a dog and weather or not it's eyes glowed red, had jet black hair and razors for claws. I have a friend that uses it constantly and I get on him about it all the time. I hate bad grammar and mispronunciation and word misuse. You went to school damn it, use your brain.
