I thought you were talking about "Legend" with Tom Cruise. I'm now disappointed.

    ...really?

..."Legend" is probably one of the best compilations ever. At least a couple tracks are on your I-pod and I'm sure a lot of you have it on CD, cassette or even vinyl....

    Please... discuss.

What about "I am Legend." Good movie.

Oh, Bob Marley? That CD was always playing when I was living on the North Shore of Oahu about 15 yrs ago. Just hearing it makes me think about surfing, hanging out on the beach, everything else ... One of the most nostalgic CDs for me (and I'm not a very sentimental person).

...okay. The name of said movie was inspired by the LP. That's a start... I'm sure there's more on this forum that have something to add. Sure, it's not exactly pre-ride music, but it's certainly good enough for wrenching, post-ride and for calming the nerves in traffic.

My favorite Marley is African Herdsman. It was all of his early stuff before he signed with Island Records. Actually there's quite a bit of music that appears on later albums, the sound is terrible, but it's the rough recording that's so appealing to me.

    Legend

It's a posthumous Greatest Hits album, so I'm not sure what there is to say about it. The albums Exodus and Natty Dread are probably the top of my list.

...fair enough. I figured there'd be lots of people with comments and anecdotes about "Legend" waxing nostalgic about memories and such. Maybe I should've 'titled' the thread "Bob" instead....

    ...ironically, he passed 05.11.1981....
