It's a TNT show, Netflix is DVD only but Hulu has it.

    Good flick

But Billy G. predicted it back a handful of years ago, stated in a Ted Talk. It is just a matter of time before a SARS gets free to roam the world.

    Netflix still sends out DVDs?!
This post is a natural product. Variances in spelling & grammar should be appreciated as part of its character & beauty.

    WOW

Yeah I guess some area's of the country dont have interenet or good enough speeds. Still a profitable market to send on discs like original biz.

It's only a few bucks more a month, can find lots of movies or tv shows that just aren't streamed anywhere, (legally) and someone's got to keep those postal workers busy

Yeah, our closest BB was next to a really good mom & pop Italian food place. It used to be a weekend ritual to go pick up a few vids and pizzas / lasagna / meatball subs. Not long after BB closed, someone bought the entire block and turned it into mixed-use businesses below and condos up top. They did put in another Italian food place but it's part of a chain.

I still get DVD (Blu-ray) too. Nothing to do with internet access, as we have a 1GB pipe (solid 850MB throughput). For me, it's about getting true HDR 4K and 7.1 surround sound in the media room. I've tried 4K streaming. Streaming isn't as good as the quality of 4K from disk, especially on 80"+ screens, even when using GB Ethernet versus WiFi for local connectivity. For non 4K and 5.1, streaming is OK.

I remember that at first, The Last Ship was an exciting story. But after about 10 episodes it devolved into a formulaic Them vs US story formula as the Russkis had a Sub out there
lurking like all Russki subs do, Just like in the Cuban missile crisis. Anybody old enough to remember that? My dad's team was deployed to parts unknown for 6 months over that one.

I was 6 months old. I do remember, growing up, hearing the air raid siren "all clear" go off once a week at noon for testing (in Lemon Grove).

It was on a Monday IIRC. That was in the Paradise Hills area of SD, where I lived from infancy into year 14.

Remember it well! I was living in the UK and I walked into the living room one evening and the news was on the B&W TV with My Dad watching it. There was a report showing the missiles on the Russian ships, and an installation with a missile launcher I guess. The announcer was saying that we were possibly on the brink of a nuclear war, and I about shit me little self. I was old enough to know what that was all about...

I also remember not too long after this crisis there was a little known TV doc/movie that depicted in graphic detail what to expect in such a war. It was called 'The War Game'
It eventually won an Oscar, but it is truly harrowing viewing. In the end the BBC banned it.
I believe it is still relevant as long as we have these weapons in this world. Required viewing.
