    Just randomly curious...

As I was out push-mowing my lawn yesterday, it occurred to me that at times I handle my mower as I would my bike...taking lines and corners, holding the handle as I would my bike, powering up small-gradient climbs slightly bent at the waist using the energy from my thighs...

Am I alone in my actions?

Driving one's vehicle may take on some version of cycling, too.

    "Bent at the waste"?

So when you see dog crap, you get perturbed?

Ha, been there, Iíve come to the conclusion that I have issues. I can be just driving down the road and look off to a far away mountainside and Iím right there in the moment riding it in my mind.

My lawn is so small I barely have to move the mower after I start it up to finish cutting. The only reason I have a power mower is because the neighbors left one behind when they ditched their $1M mortgage and fled into the night. Asshole took the Harley though.

I pick biking lines when I'm hiking.

Can't say I do that when I'm mowing. I hate mowing, so I've been slowly converting parts of my yard out of turf grass since I moved in. It's reducing the time it takes for me to cut the grass, and I appreciate that. Still takes 2 tanks of gas in my mower, though. It wouldn't be quite as bad if I didn't have to mow the embankment that's steep AF. I have long term plans to terrace it and replace most of the turf grass with plantings, but it's going to be a long terrace, and an expensive project.

After a few days straight on dirt bike def have flashbacks.
More so when driving truck on windy roads after a few days snowmobiling. Find myself leaning into corners

There's a section of the PCT up in the Angeles NF that has suspiciously banked switchbacks. I occasionally found myself hiking them at speed.

when I drive my mower I pretend Im driving a tank. Its a walker riding mower which is also confusing.

I build ramps and jump my sleeping dog with the mower.

Gonna make some North Shore-type wooden berms and plant grass on 'em.

I'm sure most people here make perfect jumps and manuals in their sleep.

I hate working in the yard but Iíll happily spend hours doing the same sort of work out in the woods.

If for some reason I wear my cycling shoes when Iím driving I sometimes try to clip out of the gas pedal.

According to Mrs. One Ring, trail work is yard work in the wrong yard.

I've never seen the yards around here look so good or so many people out working them. Seems like a tedious waste of time to me but I appreciate y'all's effort nonetheless. Also, y'all's is apparently a word.

Mrs Mojo spent a good chunk of her weekend clearing the new Jeep trail with me, but still has flowers from 2 weeks ago that she hasn't planted up front.

    Of course it is!

And the plural of "y'all" is "all y'all" Now you may think that "y'all" is already plural and it is. But at a certain point, it must become more plural or some people will think they are not included. Like in "y'all need to pick up all these beer cans and get the hell outta here!" Say that to a large group and half the crowd will think you're not talking to them. "All "y'all need to pick up all these beer cans and get the hell outta here!", now you're covered.
