    Wow very sad.
She was an amazing talent with endless humor. R.I.P. Joan.

Joan Rivers, gone forever but never forgotten

I saw a comment online today that I think she would smile at. It went something like this-- her body of work will stand the test of time, mostly because it was made out of plastic.

    81? She didn't look a day over 40.

She was a great comic that push as many buttons as boundaries.

I will always remember Joan as cutting edge... no holds barred humor. If she offended you, you probably deserved it. Her latest tiff about a gay president and a transgender First Lady in Obama and Michael...er Michelle will forever stand the test of time. That was not humor, it was her opinion, no dead pan involved. She believed it.

Some of the funniest moments, were her daughter's reactions to her comments.

RIP indeed. A pioneer, a fighter, and a survivor. (and definitely a pioneer in plastic surgery )

I respected her in her field. Being a woman in her era of comedy was difficult but she persevered and succeeded. Plus she had many career accomplishments

    I prefer a bit of a roast.

Things have been so dead around mtbr lately Joan Rivers offered to donate her last breath. She was told she'd have to buy a banner ad first.

I was hoping she would pull through it.

A sad loss to comedy. She always had some great bold lines.

I was hoping too and then make fun of her experience

She is the same age as my mom. My mom is very fit and healthy and Ms Rivers seemed so too so her death is a surprise given that she was making appearances, and giving interviews (On Howard Stern in July) up to her death

Joan Rivers was so old that when she finally died and met God she said, "Please, I'm supposed to be impressed? I used to babysit you."

RIP- she was a pioneer that could go toe to toe with JC.

Only thing that detracted from all of her accomplishments IMO was the totally BAD FORM way she ducked out from under Carson (he never forgave her for it either).

I chalk all of that off to show-biz weirdness.

A tribute to her as she's passed. Her on stage at the Apollo in 2009'. Hilarious!
