Interesting story DJ, I wonder who ended up killing him, and what they did with his head?

Intriguing in a different way. Mass evacuations of coastal towns before the weather turns again this Saturday. First time I have ever heard the RFS commissioner admit there was no way to combat the fires, they were concentrating on clearing on what they predict will be in front of them.

My cousin and family is trapped right now in Durras North NSW, with roads closed blocking their evacuation. This is absolutely terrible all round. An estimated 500 MILLION animals have been burned too. Just horrific.

I hope they are ok and remain safe. It is absolutely crazy at the moment. A strip of coastal towns and inland villages about 200km long is under mandatory "visitor" evacuations, this is one of largest tourist destinations at this time of year. Problem is that the only road that is safe to be used keeps getting temporary closures as the fire hits the side of it. Those lucky enough to get out took over 9hrs to do what usually takes just over 2 hrs. Many have been evacuated from the relative safety of beaches to now be stuck on single lane highways surrounded by bush. Must be absolutely terrifying.

We may well have lost species as yet unkown to man and many others may never recover. If it was possible for the Wollemi Pine to remain undiscovered for almost 200 years then I am sure there are, or were, smaller flora and fauna that we knew nothing about. Absolutely devastating.

    This is terrifying:

Residents warned it's 'too late to leave' parts of Australia's Victoria state as fires rage

Victoria Emergency have issued several warnings on Twitter telling people in a handful of villages in remote parts of the state "it is too late to leave" and advising them to stay inside.
    Go Fact Yourself.

    Real eyes realize real lies.

That's fairly standard advice here since the 2009 fires in Victoria. That is part of the warning systems issued by the varies Rural / Country Fire Services and is generally the last level of advice given to indicate the fire front is in the immediate vicinity. So you stay and protect against ember attack which is what usually causes houses and buildings to ignite, you retreat inside as the fire front passes over and then come back out to fight any fire you can. In 2009 many people tried to flee mountain villages and sadly perished on the roads.

Thanks, I actually just got a message that they are almost back home near Canberra. The road south opened up and they went the long way round thru Cooma. They said there were still trees and bush on fire as they drove thru near Cobargo, with thick smoke and heavy traffic near Cooma. Scary stuff...

^ Wow- That driver either had a medical emergency or created one !! That's eerie if not 'staged'.

    Man's Torso-
The interesting thing about that found in the cave is the misinterpretation of it's length of time there after all the forensics.
They were way off estimates, months to 10 years, then going all the way back early 1900's.

I've had a few strange mystery's lately but I (at the moment) don't recall the details so I'll get back to them if they seem interesting. I'll have to ask my wife to refresh my memory though.
*On a positive note, I think she agreed they were strange and not just the incoherent gibberish of a confused old man.
