    I'm the King of Rep

Looks like the Rep Fairy visited me last night and dumped a truckload into my account. I must have been a very good boy.

There was a glitch to the system (through no fault of any member) that allowed complete rep chaos resulting in what you see.

edit: mods are working on it

As I said, rep anyone else and I will know and you will not be repping or participating at MTBR any more.

It's the Chicklet monster. rising from the primordial black murk of the electronic data underworld. It was bound to happen. Heaven help us all.

BTW, I want the mods to know I only got 3 extra rep power points from the DB screw up. I originally had 440, and they better still be there after they fix this thing. That's all I have to say.
Use it, use it, use it while you still have it.

Another for killing it. The whole system allowed people to make fools of themselves, looking like crack whores begging for it on street corners...

Not everyone was begging for it, in fact, I know I wasn't.
And I know that some people have spread it to those that
deserve it, after being raked through the coals for having a "different"
    opinion than the majority.

Between this glitch and the thread where free rep is doled out, the entire rep thing has become a mockery of the goal of peer judging of the posts made in this forum. Sad, really, but any system can be corrupted so I don't know if there an answer. You could see it losing credibility but the free rep thread put it in a death spiral at warp speed. Congratulations.

Interesting...payment for this glitch was the disappearance of all my private messages.

neg rep is generally given by someone who is epically butthurt rather than being given for deserving it. conversely, positive rep is generally given for being clever rather than actually being useful or helpful. therefore, the system is inherently flawed. the helpful posters are helpful regardless of what their rep indicates. those who are jackasses will remain jackasses. any post that is made will always have one person who is overly sensitive to it.

they won't help with that since any "liking" of you is done out of pity.
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

You're just angry because you got caught in the middle of an inflated rep circle jerk.

Judging by your Rep Power a couple of the infected bumped you up, I presume I was singled out by one for my bump.

No, actually that was in response to a post that had nothing to do
with the current situation. But unfortunately, the original Rep Faerie, or Rep Devil, as I
think of him now, for some
reason put me at the top of his list when he first gave out rep, apparently
because I called him a "Busy little bugger" in DavidC's original post about
LVMTB rep powers. I see that my joke backfired and infected me, and is now
pissing me off. Will still continue to be light-hearted, just will have to start thinking about
what could possibly go wrong if I post something again.
