    ID'ing an older Rolex

Anyone know how or where I can ID a Rolex Oyster Perpetual from the mid 80's ish?

My dad gave me his years ago and I never really wore it. He no longer has the original box or paper work. There are no serial numbers on the case. There is only a "555" stamped on the bracelet. The jewelry store where he originally purchased it is no longer in business. Besides going to a jeweler and having them look at it...does anyone know what model this is?

DateJust, as it says on the dial. Serial number should be on the case, take the bracelet off.

As I said, take the bracelet off. Serial number is between the bracelet lugs, on the 6pm side.

Edit: or 6am side. However you want to call it. Haha.

Time is flowing like a river. To the sea. To the sea. Til it's gone forever, gone forever.

On another note, is anyone else seeing Rolex ads to the right?
