I need a home for all of my music.

I am uninterested in anything named iPod. BT capable, 128GB, removable storage preferred. All types of file formats. Video unnecessary.

This is the clincher not $1K or more!

    TIA!

No cloud, I am not paying to get my music played.

So you are looking for a music player that plays all different kinds of formats, not just MP3? And it has to be portable?

Not just MP3, video unimportant. There is other better formats than MP3. I don't know what they are yet.

AAC? I'm not up on portable formats, though. I guess there's more and better portable formats out there.

MP3 works good enough for me to bring Lana on my rides.

Nice, formats is my least important. BT, storage portable are more important. Yes, no cRapple.

Actually, it's 64 GB internal with a card slot that supports up to 200 GB.

I've been using a Fiio X3 but no bluetooth. The audiophile/hi-fi crowd doesn't look too kindly on BT. I converted all my CDs to flac a few years back. I also have mp3 of everything that I use my fruit-inspired phone with BT earbuds on the trail.

You got a cellphone? I use Neutron with my S7. 64-bit processing if you desire (can't tell the difference on my Sennheiser earbuds). Plays a crap-ton of formats.

Can output to USB DAC if you eschew BT, but seriously, if one is using BT, are they really looking for an audiophile experience? I BT to a 'boom-box' with 4" speakers. Sounds great for what it is, which is not an $80,000 monitor.

There is a format better than MP3. It is called 'everything else'!

If you have a computer, which seems likely...unless you've found a way to post on the internet using a banana, just store your music on the computer. If you need to, fit a bigger, or another hard-drive.

Then you can spit your music out of the USB port into a stand-alone DAC or music streamer thing hooked up to your regular stereo or use PC speakers plugged straight into the computer-me-bob.

My phone holds all my tunes...

I back them up to the cloud & PC...

For riding (solo) I use a hacked iPod Shuffle i.e. shows as an external drive & I can copy new stuff from cloud/ph to it.

Shuffle clips onto backpack front strap.

Where do I get my music? :secret-squirrel:
