Yeah, been back at work for weeks. It was only like a light flu for me. That is assuming I actually had it as they wouldn't test me. They weren't testing anyone at the time.

I like cats.. they i find their being jerks rather funny most of the time... In fairness he wasn't really biting hard at all. didn't break the skin or hurt really even.. I think he is just a little annoyed by not having the house to himself during the day..

I've got a feral rescue cat, who sleeps in my lap a few hours a day and then takes over my office chair when I get up to go do something outside the office.

He can stand me petting him for about a minute or two and then tells me when it's been enough.

How my Cat feels about everyone being home all day everyday..-img_20200202_113929631.jpg

I also have about 120 lbs. of rescue pits -- a male pit-lab and a female pit-kangaroo-velociraptor. You can probably guess which one of the 3 dominates the other 2.

ha...the bitey bites.. he is a handsome cat..

my cat wasn't feral but he was "neglected" and he had been found abandon in the hills outside Los Angles .. he had to fend for himself for awhile and I think he has PTSD maybe?...

No. I could happily see a world without either. In the UK it seems that every story about a dog attacking a kid it's a pit bull type dog. Always the same story, placid family pet, really good with the kids, right up until it bit the baby's face off.

One advantage of cats is that I've never heard of one killing a baby.

The only reason your cat does not kill you for the fun of it is that he's not big enough.

They don't eat those birds. They just enjoy killing them. In the US alone cats kill somewhere between 1.4 and 3.7 billion birds a year. Personally, I'd rather have the birds.

I have a cat that kills at least 4 or 5 rats for every bird she kills and she eats them all entirely, including the birds. My other 3 cats never kill anything.

People kill a lot more birds than cats do. I'm not pleased about my cat killing birds but then again I'm not pleased about people doing it either.

I have two cats, one bites and the other never bites. The one will stop biting with a firm voice and he knows better. Completely different in every way and they came from the same Dad and were born a day apart. my cat definitely eats everything she kills. the throw rug under the dining table is an absolute bloody mess. birds, squirrels, possums, rats you name it. i've have to clean up hundreds of mostly eaten carcasses and an untold amount of just leftover feathers. on average of twice a week for the last 8 years. her face is always covered in blood afterward too. trust, she eats them...

Rocket doesn't seem to mind the change in her routine. We are both at still at work during the day but the change is we are home in the evening. Instead of going to the gym we do our routine in a small home gym; and we are home for longer periods on the weekends. And she checks out what we are doing. As long as she can soak up a sun beam, her bowl is full of kibble and her sand box is cleaned regularly... she is ok.

Man, I miss my orange kitty. She was always in my lap.

My blue boy was usually stand-offish until the orange girl passed. Now he's a pretty steady companion.

That's a boy, isn't it? Good lookin' Tom.

As for my cats, their behavior is constantly adjusting to our emotional states.
When the little women is approaching 9-11 level, they both have an amazing number of hide-away spots that they go to until they're hungry again.

That's actually the thing; this is pretty much their usual modus operendi. No significant change in their behavior, and I'm keeping track, too. The boy was recently diagnosed
with diabetes, so I have to check his BG and give him a couple shots every day.

Sorry for the thread drift, but I'm glad you recovered. That's what baffles me with this "novel" virus that is potentially a killer. No tests for it until just about now. Something as potentially dangerous as we were told warned about, and no tests until just recently. And they still don't have enough tests for everyone.
If the cats ran the show, you can bet that they would have put a bigger emphasis on testing then us primates.

our cat is loving it, gets fed more, gets tummy rubs more... he wasn't too happy that the GF took back her work chair that he likes sleep on...but today he discovered my old recliner thing in the corner, in the sunlight...he was pretty darn chuffed.

I once raised rescued Pits (rescued by me, from some of the a-hole dog fighter people in the Yuma AZ circuit.) Many hard feelings on their parts but I did what I thought I was called to do. They got along famously with each other and they loved my cat I had at the time, another big black tom we named "Killer" because he was constantly catching the gnarliest rats I ever saw. He was a big boy, and he performed a valuable neighborhood service. I told my neighbors about him, and thusly he was always welcome in their yards, front or back. Anyways for 3-4 years it was all kumbaya, until one day Killer went off and we never saw him again. My two Pits at the time were from a nimble, "game" bloodline, and they caught some, too. All in my back yard, which was pretty big. But not nearly as many as Killer did.

Hangin in there. It is so hard to get a full diagnosis quickly when most med staff are working from home, and some procedures are being shelved except in life or death situations. Luckily I have the MRI pics so if I need to, I whip those things out and they clear a path. Just had a full PET scan which should be the last step to finding out the fullest picture so I can work on possible treatments. Unfortunately my insurance sucks, so I am trying some other finaglements to get better... I'll try and keep you guys updated in the Lurg thread.

One thing they have told me, it is definitely not windmill cancer!
