Hiker spots man in goat suit frolicking with a herd

I... I just don't know what to say...

Actual photos of the goat man here: Hiker spots man in goat suit frolicking with a herd - ABC4.com - Salt Lake City, Utah News

Coty Creighton was hiking Ben Lomond peak early Sunday morning, when he came across a herd of goats and noticed one was trailing behind. Coty pulled out his binoculars to get an even closer look, and realized it was a man, acting like a goat.

"His goat costume was definitely home made, it wasn't done very well he had a full mask covering his face up and fake horns coming off the top of his head, he even had to lift the mask at times to make his way and see over rocks and bushes," Creighton said.

Creighton tried to rationalize it, thinking the guy may have been a photographer, but he had no gear.

"Once I realized he had no camera gear or anything else, it went from being really funny to really creepy," he said.

Creighton said the man was literally acting like a goat. At one point, the man took off his mask and spotted Coty watching him.

"So he just kind of froze in his tracks, he was on his hands and knees just kind of staring at me,” Creighton said.

At that point, Coty said the man sat down and began to sulk. Creeped out, Creighton left.

His images ended up in the hands of the Utah division of wildlife.

"The term is often used wildlife enthusiast, and people are very enthusiastic about wildlife and do some very out there types of things," said Phil Douglass with the division of wildlife.

But this kind of thing happening with goats is unusual.

"It’s happened before in a different setting, not to my knowledge has it happened with goats," said Douglass.

The obvious question is why? Why was that man doing this? Without knowing who he is, the reason for his goat costume party will remain a mystery.

"I’ve thought about it every day just because it's so hilarious I wish I hadn't have been creeped out at the time because I really want to talk to the guy," Creighton said.

Douglass said he would like to talk to the “goat man.” Goat hunting season coming up and he could be in danger doing this kind of “wildlife activity.”

seriously, i love goats. especially the ones with long ears. if dressing up like one would get me closer to being able to frolick with an awesome herd of goats, well then i see the appeal!

Not that weird. Nothing is weird. Went to a block party yesterday and everyone on the block thought I was weird
putting top soil and grass seed on my lawn at 12 midnight for 3 nights in a row. Well I work a 1-10p
shift and don't want to do it in the morning besides I'd smell before work.

My lawn will look like the outfield at Dodger Stadium soon.

But dressing up like a goat is nothing. Ever seen people at Comic-Con?

He has a fetish for goats, must have been a kiwi on a holiday, there was no female sheep around so he decided to target a goat or two, i hope he got one for his efforts.
New Zealanders are very well known for dressing up as sheep in an effort to get with the heard and quench there sensational thirst for fresh virgin sheep in their natural enviroment, its a national pass time over there, its not against the law, its very accepted in there culture, thank god we have nobody like that in Australia
It was a kiwi on holiday for sure 100%

    From the article:
The man told Douglass he was preparing for an archery hunt of mountain goats next year and testing a goat suit. Douglass says the hunter came to Utah because he heard it was easier to get near goats for training.
