That is a lot of cash and a lot of copies of the one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

Im pretty sure that, at least in my mind, anything having to do with the original shelby cobra...daytona coupes included, that car sums up everything that defines manhood. That has to be one of the rawest, most beastly racecars in history. The Ferrari 250's are gorgeous cars and excellent racecars, they just lack the testosterone of the cobra.

I just don't get this "classic car" thing. I mean the old cars are nice, but why deprave these fine racing cars of air, gas and revs for the rest of their lives.

If I had a car like that I would drive it every day, I would drive the **** out of it actually, because thats what they were made for.

If I sometime happen to come across a substantial amount of money I'm buying an old mercedes, like from the 70ies, and under the metal shell I'll upgrade it to a new highend mercedes, with a v8 of course. And punish hard it every day.

Has anyone one seen that film on youtube with the old ferrari v12? Getaway in paris or something, thats how its done. In black and white.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.

It is easy to say that when your car is in your imagination. I bet it would be much harder when you car was one of a handful made and they were all made by hand, raced in a bunch of races and values are in the handful of millions.

That paris video is actually filmed in his jaguar sedan with an overlay of the ferrari engine. It is still a brilliant piece just not as brilliant had it been in his Lusso or whatever v12 car it was supposed to be.

This is the one car that I think matches or exceeds the GTO in beauty and desirability. The 250TR is an amazingly beautiful car and if you can afford the 10's of millions it takes to get into one, you can afford the craftsmen to repair it after a shunt. Still at my pedestrian level of wealth it definitely made me cry. Perhaps because of the damage to such a beautiful car and perhaps because it is so hard to get my head around that someone could have that much disposable income that they could both race that car and wreck that car.

Scales of magnitude beyond anything that I can possibly comprehend.
