    Ghost Pepper ideas

My nephew grew a bunch of ghost peppers and mailed be some dried ones. I have quite a lot, actually.

What are good ways to use them? I've sprinkled on pizza and put in chili, but I am looking for some creative ways to use these deadly baby's!

I've heard of adding them to bottles of cooking oil or bottles of booze, and letting them sit, which I'll try. Any food-related ideas?

By the way, my mouth and a$$hole now seem immune to them, but damn if they don't make me sweat like Honey Boo-Boo's mom every time I eat just a little! It literally pours off my head, into my eyes.

I was starting to come up with something until I processed mouth, a$$hole, sweat and Mama June all at once.

    Heebie-jeebies were had.

    Ghost Pepper Jelly!

    4 Peppers, seeded and chopped
    3 cups sugar
    1 cup cider vinegar
3 ounces pectin (I prefer liquid)
    2 drops food coloring

Boil peppers, sugar and vinegar in a large pan for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes.
Stir in pectin and food coloring.
Pour into sterilized jars (very important to be sterilized). You can strain if you don't want the chunks of pepper.
Cover tightly and store in a cool, dry place.

I've also added mango to this.

grab a bottle of tequila, throw part of the pepper inside... let it sit for a week. Enjoy! Actually this is awesome with Jalapeņos and other similar chiles

Wow, I can't imagine becoming immune to ghost chilies. We eat peppers in almost everything including habaneros but I can definitely overload on ghost peppers.

Throw them in a spice (coffee) grinder with some other spices and use it as a steak rub. Or just grind them and then mix them with salt for the shaker.

Ghost pepper jelly sounds good! I've never had enough ghost peppers to consider it but have done it with jalapenos & habaneros

Glad to see that these peppers are not going to waste!
they are a valuable produce, and there's tons of ways they can be put to good use.

You are talking 'bout the current world-champ of hot peppers!

    Ghost Pepper ideas

There is a guy around here that makes ghost pepper hot sauce. Beautifully smooth and delicious. He doesn't share the recipe, but there are lots of hot sauces online. Chances are, straight ghost pepper hot sauce will be too hot. If that is the case, you could cut it with regular Tabasco hot sauce.

I had a dish with ghost chilis once. Had the good sense to try a very small portion to start, just in case. Holy cow, just in case is right. I can only describe it as violently hot. Light years beyond anything else I've ever eaten hot. Scary freaky hot. A woman I work with ate a fairly large quantity, and had to take the next day off work because of the fire coming out her behind. No thanks. All yours, dirt farmer.

Family knows I have spicy salsa in the fridge at all times. Look what I received in my Xmas stocking this morning! Tried some - got sweat running down my forehead and back of the neck as I write this. Really nice flavor.
